Skincare NOT Wednesdays: LUSH Sweet Lips

*It is not wednesday...but I am a rebel like that. LOL

What better way to get smooth and soft lips than with an an amazing lip scrub!
LUSH's 'Sweet Lips' lip scrub is the best lip scrub I have ever used. It isn't too abrasive and it tastes and smells absolutely delicious! It is also an all natural, vegan product.

"Vanilla extract and jojoba oil keep your lips moist, castor sugar gently exfoliates, and the rich, deep fragrance of cocoa absolute gives this an irresistible touch.Vegetable oils are favourable alternatives to petroleum-derived lubricants due to their emollient property and biodegradability. Jojoba oil is light and very softening, and the castor sugar is a fine exfoliant that scrubs without being too abrasive." ~LUSH

I find that their statement is completely true. This scrub exfoliates without being harsh or drying on the lips. It is gentle enough to use everyday. The best thing? The decadent smell of chocolate and vanilla makes this a real treat! (no pun intended...xD) I don't know why, but the great smell and taste just makes this a really luxurious and relaxing experience.
$8.95 per jar is a fair price since the jar will last you a considerably long time.
Chocolate not your favorite scent? Don't fret! This is also available in mint, bubblegum, and a new popping candy lip scrub (I no have clue what popping candy is...).  I HIGHLY recommend these if you have extremely dry and chapped lip like myself. This is my HG lip product, and I highly doubt I will find anything better, because I have tried A LOT of lip products.

Here is a photo of when I did not use the lip scrub in a couple of days, and then I applied lipstick (From the Ganondorf FOTD). It is pretty bad...you can see how chapped my lips are. If this was not an editorial/inspired look, I would haved never uploaded this picture since the chapped lips are VERY unattractive.
Here is a picture of when I used the lip scrub right before applying NYX's Matte Cream in Addis Ababa. Disregarding my poor application, you can see that my lips look a lot smoother. The Matte Creams are matte, and thus tend to emphasize dry spots and chapped lips, but it applied smoothly because I had used the lip scrub.

Verdict
I would gladly fork over $8.95 for another jar of this amazing stuff. I have tried a couple other lip scrubs, and they all pale in comparison to this. If you have been looking for a great scrub, I really do recommend that you try this. With the upcoming winter, it is essential to have proper lip care.

Rating: 10/10 (No CONS!)
Recommend? YESSSSS!

Repurchase? Most definitely!

  12. I've got the Buuble Gum one and I'm also in love with it !!! I tend to have dry skin/lips/hair so it always looks messy when I wear lipstick unless I scrub first !
