Disney Series: Princess Jasmine (Aladdin)

Greetings my darlings!

I am a huge fan of Disney's Aladdin! When I was young, Aladdin was one of my favorite movies and I watched it all the time. I have always loved Jasmine's red outfit, more so than her usual blue outfit. I knew that if I did a Jasmine inspired look, I wanted it to be inspired by the red outfit, so that is what I'm doing today! I borrowed some aspects of the Arabic-style makeup: lots of eyeliner in the elongated, cat-eye shape. I knew I wanted to incorporate red in this look, but I didn't want it to be overpowering. So instead of doing a mostly red eye look, I made a neutral gold smokey eye with red on the lower lash line. I kept the rest of my face very neutral too. I quite like the way it turned out and I hope you all like this look too :D Keep reading for a step-by-step tutorial~

                                                                                            Tutorial

1. Start with a primed lid. I used my Maybelline Dark Circle Eraser as a base.

2With a flat brush, apply a sparkly gold shadow. Jasmine tends to wear a lot of gold jewelry, so the gold will represent that. I used a bit ofSugarpill's 'Goldilux' loose eyeshadow.

3. With the same flat brush, start applying a dark brown or bronze eyeshadow on the outer half part of the lid. Jasmine's jewelry is gold, but more of a tarnished gold. This color will darken things up a bit. I used the Essence Metal Glam 'Chocolate Jewellery' eyeshadow.

4. With a fluffy brush and a matte light brown, start to blend out the crease. I used the matte brown in my Wet n wild 'Nude Awakening' palette.

5. With a matte beige eyeshadow, highlight your brown bone. I used a shade from the  Wet n wild 'Nude Awakening' palette.

6. If you want to, you can do your brows at this point. I used the Wet n Wild Ultimate Brow Kit.

7. To make this slightly smokier, apply a bit of a matte black eyeshadow on the outer V. I used my favorite black eyeshadow, Lime Crime's 'Lotus Noir eyeshadow from the ChinaDoll palette. Make sure to blend it in well.

8. Apply black eyeliner onto the waterline and smudge in on the lower lash line. Go nuts with the eyeliner! I used the Prestige Total Intensity black eyeliner. Set it with a black eyeshadow.

9. With a small brush, apply a red eyeliner or eyeshadow. I used the Inglot #79 gel eyeliner and set it with Sugarpill's 'Love+' eyeshadow.

10. Do a cat-eye winged liner with a liquid liner. I used my Milani liquid eyeliner.

11. Apply mascara and lashes.

  1. This is my way to go look on weddings. Only that I pair it with bright red lips. Indian weddings are all about blings and colors.
