The Legend of Zelda Series: Phantom Ganon (Wind Waker)

Greetings from the Dark Side!

This week's Zelda inspired look is based off Phantom Ganon from Wind Waker.

I love how Phantom Ganon looks here! It is super simple, yet very cool! I was inspired by the simplicity and fierceness of the black and bright blue together. I wanted to create something a little extreme, almost gothic-like. I wanted to feel evil, powerful, and totally badass! I know this will not be everyone's cup of tea, but I hope you like this super non-wearable look either ways! ;)

The Legend of Zelda Series: Green Chuchu

Greetings from the Dark Side!

Ahh the Chuchu are one of the most annoying monsters from the Zelda games, IMO! They are not very strong, but they attack you and shock you randomly. But there is something quite cute about them. Maybe it's because they are super colorful or because they are smiling...I don't know. But I wanted to create something bright and crazy. The Chuchu that stands out to me is the green one, so that is the one I decided to use for my inspiration.

The Legend of Zelda Series: Princess Zelda (Wind Waker)

Greetings from the Dark Side!

This next The Legend of Zelda inspired look is Princess Zelda from Wind Waker. Wind Waker has more animated, cartoonish graphics so Zelda looks much more colorful in this game than in most of the other games. I personally love Wind Waker. Sure, it's no Ocarina of Time, but it was a phenomenal game! My inspiration was the two tones of pinks in her dress, the cornflower blue in her dress,  the pastel blue on her eye lids, her blonde hair, and her gold accessories and gold triforce.

The Legend of Zelda Series: Princess Ruto

Greetings from the Dark Side!~

If you ever played Ocarina of Time, you will remember the annoying Zora princess! When she is younger and as Link you try to rescue her from Jabu-Jabu's belly, she is the biggest brat ever! She makes you carry her and she is bossy ARGH! But besides that, I always thought that Ruto and the rest of the Zora looked really cool!

This look was inspired by the blue shades of her skin, but I wanted to make the look a bit more wearable and girly to reflect her personality. I added some pretty blue gems to represent her earrings and the by the Zora's Sapphire.

Return of the Look: Princess Zelda

Greetings from The Dark Side~

Welcome to my second installment of Return of the Look. Today's post is about one of my Legend of Zelda looks that I really loved: the Princess Zelda inspired look. This is really soft, girly, and has both some brightness and subtlety. You can see my original post HERE. I used the same color placement, and some of the same products, but I wanted to make it neater and...well...just better.

Products Used

Eyes
-Lime Crime Eyeshadow Helper
-Urban Decay 15th Anniversary Palette (Midnight 15 and Chased)
-Lime Crime D'Antoinette Palette (Royal Flush and Ribbonesque)
-Maybelline Color Tattoo 'Tenacious Teal' Eyeshadow
-Victorian Disco Cosmetics 'Lightsaber' Eyeshadow
-Prestige My Longest Lashes mascara
-Ardell 'Wispies' Lashes
 Face & Lips
-Revlon Whipped Foundation in 150 Buff
-MAC 'Coygirl' Blush
-MAC 'Whisper of Gilt' Highlighter
-Jordana 'Lily Rose' Matte Lipstick

Princess Zelda

*Sorry for the out of focus shots. The Lashes are really long and they make my camera tweek out.

-Urban Decay 'Chased' ( a bright gold) in the inner corner
-Urban Decay 'Midnight 15 (a beige-silver) on the lid and on the brow bone
-A mix of Lime Crime's Royal Flush (pastel pink) and Ribbonesque (pastel lilac) on the crease/outer v
-Tenacious Teal (bright aqua) and Lightsaber (bright blue) on the lower lash line

If you elongate the upper lash line a touch more, and maybe made the bright blue more subtle, it would be great for cosplaying Zelda. She is very royal, graceful, and really just beautiful!

Hope you enjoyed! See you next time :)

Day to Night EOTD: Link Inspired Green Look

Salutations to all my readers!

As I said on my haul post, here is a quick look that I did using the L'oreal Infallible Eyeshadow in 'Golden Emerald'. This was not a look I wore out, I was just testing this out. But I did a day-night transition look that was inspired by my my LoZ Link looks. I hope you like both the looks :D

Products Used

-Lime Crime Eyeshadow Helper
-L'oreal Infallible Eyeshadow 'Golden Emerald'
-Unbound Eden Cosmetics 'Dawnguard' eyeshadow
-Urban Decay 24/7 Pencil Liner 'Perversion'
-Prestige My Biggest Lashes Mascara
-MAC 'She Who Dares' Mineralized Eyeshadow Duo
-Lime Crime ChinaDoll Palette

Day Look

This isn't the softest day look, but I tried to keep it as wearable as I could.
I applied my primer on my lid, followed by the L'oreal Infallible eyeshadow.
I applied some black pencil liner on my waterline, but you can skip that to make this a more day-time appropriate look.
Next, take a crease brush and apply a matte brown on your crease and lower lash line. I used Unbound Eden Cosmetics 'Dawnguard' eyeshadow.
Lastly, apply a bright shimmery beige color on your inner corner for a brightening effect.

Night Look

I wanted the night look to be more intense and smokey.
First thing, if you did not apply black pencil liner on your waterline, definitely to that.
Then, apply a matte black on the outer V to make this a smokey look. You can apply it right over the brown. I used the matte black from the Lime Crime China Doll Palette.
This is completely optional, but if you want, apply a very shimmery green on top of the L'oreal Infallible eyeshadow. I used my MAC 'She Who Dares' Mineralized eyeshadow.

With this super smokey look, you will be ready for a night out!~ And you really didn't have to do very much to achieve the look!

The Legend of Zelda Series: Link (#2)

Hi gorgeous readers!

I am back with a second attempt at a Link inspired look. If you see my first post (Link Look #1) you will notice that I was very displeased with the way it turned out. I seem to be having some difficulty with a Link look! Link is the main character, he is the Hero of Time and here I am having the most difficult time getting a look that is satisfyingly Link-like.

This second attempt...well...I like it, but I am still not content. It still lacks something that makes me go: "Ah, yes this reminds me of Link!". Regardless, I will show you the look, and for the time being I am going to move on until I feel more inspired to re-try making a third Link look!

Link Inspired Look

I sort of have two versions of this look. This one:

The Legend of Zelda Series: Link

How can you have a Legend of Zelda series without Link, the hero of time?! Without the hero of awesomeness?! Well you cannot. It's simply not possible. So here is my very first Link look. First? Yes, first! I was already planning on doing more than one look for Link, but I ended up being rather displeased with this look. I am still posting it though. I feel that this looks too lemon-y, almost 7 Up inspired xD But oh well. I still like the look, just not so much for Link. I hope you like it regardless!

Link Inspired Look

*Again sorry for the messy brows @_@

Products Used

-Lime Crime Eyeshadow Helper
-Urban Decay 24/7 Liner pencil 'Perversion'
-Victorian Disco 'Dowry'
-Victorian Disco  'Symmetrical Garden'
-Lime Crime ChinaDoll Palette (Jade-O-Lade and Goldfish)
-Wet n Wild 'Vanity' Palette (matte dark brown)
-Maybelline Illegal Length mascara
-KKCenterhk ES A598 Lashes

Tutorial

1. Take a pencil brush or a crease brush and apply Dowry (a dark matte forest green) on the outer V, crease, and half of the lower lash line. We want to have a very dark, forest-y color :)

2. To further play up with the greens, I applied a small amount of Jade-O-Lade from the Lime Crime ChinaDoll Palette and top it off with a little bit of Victorian Disco's Symmetrical Garden. The combination makes this a slightly lighter and shimmery green.  The shimmer adds a nice iridescent touch xD

3. This is where I feel that I messed up. I applied Goldfish from the ChinaDoll palette in the inner part of the lid, but I think this is far too yellow and gold. I wanted to use a color that would represent Link's blond hair. *sigh*

4. Besides green, Link wears a lot of brown accessories. I applied a matte dark brown on the lower lash line.

5. Apply liquid liner, mascara, and black liner on the waterline.

 6. Now you could leave the look like this, but I was unhappy, and I applied a little more of Dowry on the on the crease and blended it a lot more. I was still unhappy...LOL.

Here is a full face shot. I went with a neutral lip color, Rimmels Airy Fairy Lipstick. I was just not feeling up to taking pictures this day. It was hot and I had been wearing the makeup for a few hours when I took this. I also realize that neutral colors don't look all that great on me xD

Thank you for reading ♥ Until next time!

The Legend of Zelda Series: Midna (Imp Form)

Yay, another Zelda look ♥
This is my second Midna look, inspired by the stubborn and sarcastic imp version. Midna looks and acts very childish in her cursed state, so I wanted to do something a little more fun. I choose to use orange (for her hair),black (she has a lot of black), and a pale green color (I wanted it to be more blue to represent her skin tone, but oh well).

The Legend of Zelda Series: Midna (Real Form)

Salutations!~

It has taken me a really long time to get this post done. I procrastinated for sooo long but I finally did the Midna look. I want to do a second Midna look, as this one was mostly inspired by Midna's real form (more specifically by her eyes). Midna, the Twilight Princess, is such a great character. She is cheeky, stubborn, yet somehwat graceful and kind towards the end. In her real form, she looks so cool! I would totally want to cosplay as her!

Inspiration pictures (not my pictures, they were found on Google search):

Products Used
(Eyes)
-ELF Eyelid Primer
-MAC 'Blacktrack' Fluidline
-Black matte shadow (Urban Decay's Blackout)
-Make-Up Forever #92 Eyeshadow
-Shiro Cosmetics 'Midna' Eyeshadow
-L'oreal Lineur Intense
-KKCenterhk ESA88 Lashes
-Artistry mascara
(Face)
-Lioele Triple the Solution BB Cream
-NARS Sin Blush
-Illamasqua 'Kontrol' Lipstick
-Revlon 'Decadent' Lipgloss

Tutorial

1. With a pencil liner or gel liner, make a line just above the crease. You can make the outline and then proceed to go over it with a matte black eyeshadow. (My line is really not perfect at all...but whatever)
2. Apply a dark, matte purple on the eyelid.
Then make a wing from the edge of the eye to connect to the line that is on the crease.
3. Line the upper lash line with either a liquid liner or gel liner.
Then line the outer half of the lower lash line with a black matte eyeshadow.

 4. Apply mascara, and if you wish, you can also apply some false lashes.
5. Finally, apply the same purple shadow on the outer part of the lower lash line. For the sake of the name, I also applied Shiro Comestics eyeshadow in 'Midna' on the inner half of the lower lash line.

And now you are done ♥

This look is mostly inspired by the shape of her eyes, but next time I will do a look inspired the colors she wears. You could wear something like this for cosplaying or for whatever you like :)

See you next time!
