Review: Solone Gel Like Smoody Pencil 'Red Wine'

Greetings from the Dark Side :)

Have any of you ever tried the brand Salone? This is my first time ever trying the brand. I tried an eyeliner pencil called "Gel Like Smoody Pencil" that is supposed to be water proof and fast-drying. If you want to know my experience with this product, stick around :D

Price and Availability
$12.08. You can find this on the KKCenterhk website.

Packaging
This is packaged much like any typical eyeliner. It has the eyeliner on one end and a smudging sponge on the other.

 Swatches
Here is one swipe of the eyeliner on the back of my hand. This is a pretty black base with burgundy sparkles.
Here is the swatch blended out with the smudging sponge. It smudges out really easily, actually.

Product in Action
Here is the eyeliner applied and smudged on my lid. It looks really pretty on its own!

Review
Although this is a very pretty color and a very soft eyeliner, it is definitely far from perfect. Because this smudges out so well, it is prone to creasing and transferring. In order words, it doesn't set very well. If you set it with a powder eyeshadow or a translucent powder, it holds up much better. The color might be worth it since it is rare to see such a pretty eyeliner color. But, be aware that this can move around a bit. I would prefer to use this as a base for a smokey eye since it is quite dark on its own and it smudges so well. Is it worth the price? Well you would have to decided that on your own. I personally would not purchase this because the color is very similar to my Armani Eyes to Kill eyeshadow in #02 (which is more expensive but has better color payoff and does not crease).
Overall, it is a descent eyeliner, but works best as a base for other eyeshadows.

Rating: 7/10
