EOTD Fail: Illamasqua Human Fundamentalism

You might be aware of Illamasqua's new S/S 2012 collection names Human Fundamentalism. This new collection is full of bright colors fit for this season's trends. The promotional pictures for this collection are STUNNING! Illamasqua never fails to amaze me. One of the promo photos caught my eye:

This look is superbly done! I love it! In fact I was so enamored with the look that I tried to recreate it. It didn't really work out D:
My eyeshape is very different from the model's, so I went about doing this all wrong. The model has most of her eye space from the lash line to the crease. I, on the other hand, have more space between my crease to my brow bone. I also kind of winged the look. I wasn't being meticulous or careful, so it is a bit messy. But here is my first go at the look:

I think I need to work on the proportions of the colors. So I think for my eyeshape, I need to bring up the silver and purple up higher over my crease. I also need to make the eyeliner thicker. I completely forgot to add the silver line to the outer part of my lower lash line and on top of the eyebrow too!!! So yeah...this is a FAIL!  >_<" I need to do my eyebrows too...LOL.

It is my duty to show you guys my fails as well. What else would you recommend that I fix to make this look better?

  3. Cool! I think you did a pretty great job, actually, but you're right about how much lidspace the model has... or they've faked it really well. I'd bet money you could fake it, if anybody could! Will you try again?

  5. Think the model might have been a bit airbrushed. Her makeup looks erm.. liquid. I say you made a very good and realistic attempt! :)

  9. I do really love your recreation of this look. For a first attempt, it's splendid. I would've added the white liner/shadow under the bottom lash line in your rendition, just because I love that aspect of the promo shot. Great job, though!!

    1. I used the Tarina Tarantino palette for the silver and purple and the Illamasqua cream pigment in bedaub for the minty green. :)
