Project No Buy Update: Week 6

Greetings from the Dark Side!
And welcome to the round up for Week 6 of my No-Buy!
Week 6 (February 11 - February 17) has been a super busy week. I have been more focused on school and work, so I have not been paying too much attention to my No-Buy goals this week. I was stressed so I went shopping to distract myself. Because of that, I almost went over my award budget.

If you are new to my No-Buy, please check out my past posts:
-Week 4 Round Up
-Week 5 Round Up

                                                               Week 6's Rewards
1) Weekly goals:
Goal #1: I must make at least two book reviews on my literature blog, The Library of Babel.
[Failed!] I was so busy this week that I did not have time to make any posts on my other blog :( I still want to do this though! (+0)
Goal #2: I must post at least 1 look with indie makeup, 1 look with drugstore makeup, and 1 look using high end makeup.
[Failed!] I did manage to post a look with indie makeup and one with high end makeup, but I did not post a look with drugstore makeup. I will try again next week! (+0)
2) Grades:
I had one assignment graded this week:
-Japanese Literature midterm 92% A- (woo hoo!) (+15)

3) Reading:
This week I read A LOT:
-The Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien (this is just a freaking classic!), 1031 pages (+10)
-White Noise by Don DeLilo, 326 pages (+7)
-Angels in America by tony Kushner, 289 pages (+7)
-Drown by Junot Diaz, 208 pages (+7)
-Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Dostoevsky, 551 pages (+10)
-The Odyssey, by Homer and translated by Robert Faegles, 485 pages (+7)

4)Language Learning:
I was so busy I totally forgot about this!
None (+$0)

 6) Self-Control:
I kept to my budget, even if I only had less than $2 left!
TOTAL REWARD MONEY EARNED WEEK 6: $1.81+15+10+7+7+7+10+7= $64.81
All the money I made this week pretty much comes from all the reading I did. The reading made me so busy I couldn't complete any of my weekly goals or my language learning challenge!

                                                                    Week 7: Weekly Goals
These two goals are my weekly goals for next week. These two goals must be completed by next Sunday in order for me to earn reward money.
Goal #1: (uncompleted from Week 6) I must make at least two book reviews on my literature blog, The Library of Babel.
Goal #2: I have to post three makeup looks during Week 7, at least one has to be a geeky makeup look.

  1. i guess you've already read Iliada first by Homer! if you like Greek ancient literature, you should try Aristofanis! Hilarious!

  2. Okay I read your first post and thought it was a great idea...still haven't started though! (I'm hopeless...I KNOW!) My goal for this week is to start this challenge :)

  3. I feeel like I should do this! This would help me out so much! At least with saving in a way and also getting things I need and want done!

  4. Glad you managed to stay within budget :)

  5. Wow you read A LOT!!! Before I got sick, I used to read 4-5 books a month and I thought *I* was a book eater!! I'm in awe.

I really think doing a no buy would be so fun, especially if it motivated me to reach my goals (which right now are mostly health related, but they count!) Is it fun to do or does it just look it from the outside?

Thank you for taking the time to comment <3 I appreciate every single comment I receive ^_^
