I saw this tag on BeautySpot, and it looked fun to do. I love lipsticks, my second obsession next to blush.
1. When you were a child, did you use your mother's lipsticks?
~I do not recall using her lipsticks, but there is a picture of me putting on red lipstick. I looked like a clown! I put the lipstick all around my entire mouth. I was also wearing mascara, although I had it smeared all over my cheeks, so I guess I didn't know what mascara was used for xD
2. How old were you when you bought your first lipstick?
~17. I used to hate lipsticks, and the very first lipstick I ever purchased was the MAC Hello Kitty lipsticks. This was my first MAC purchase, as well as my first lipsticks. I only bought them because it was HK! But I ended up loving them, and the rest is history. (I now own about 50 lipsticks D:)
3. Pink or red lipstick?
~Pink, for sure. I adore red lipsticks, but I think pink suits me better.
4. The most expensive lipstick you have ever bought?
~My most expensive lipsticks are Tom Ford [$42] and Guerlain [$46]. I don't own many high end lipsticks, so these are like my most valued lippies. Especially my TF ones, I love those!
5. And the cheapest?
~Hmm, probably my Wet N Wild ones. I think I got them for $0.99, but they are amazing quality!
6. What's the most bizarre thing you have ever done with a lipstick?
~I was bored and painted my friend's nails with it. Yeah...it didn't really work out.
7. If you had to recommend a lipstick, which brand would you recommend and why?
~Well this is a rather difficult question but I will break it down into three parts:
*Drugstore: If you only buy drugstore make up, I recommed Revlon lipsticks. They are fabulous and affordable. Revlon has a lot of different colors as well as finishes.
*Department Store: If you like to spend a bit more money on make up, I recommend MAC lipsticks. They are still not too expensive, there are so many colors, finishes, and MAC comes out with a lot of unique colors. The plus side to MAC lipsticks is that you can Back 2 MAC and get a free lipstick:D Also, the lipsticks smell really nice!
*High End: My favorite high end lipsticks are Chanel Rouge Coco. These are amazing, but expensive.
My absolutely favorite brand for lipsticks would be MAC though. More affordable than Chanel, but great quality.
