EOTD: An Insects's Wing

Insect wings are so magically beautiful. They have an array of colors that is puzzling to simple-colored humans like ourselves. Wouldn't it be cool if we had awesome wings? But noooo, we get lame arms and legs.

Here is my recreation of an insect's wing:

Products Used:
~ELF Primer
~Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy
~Fyrinnae 'Herbivore' pigment
~Fyrinnae 'Wicked' pigment
~Lime Crime 'Dragon Scales' pigment
~L'oreal Lineur Intense liquid liner
~Maybelline The Falsies mascara

How to Achieve this Look:
1. Apply your primer. I also used Pixie Epoxy, which will make the shimmer of the eyeshadows more prominent. This is important because an insects wing is very reflective and has an array of colors. The shimmers will add more colors and more of that reflective quality.

2.Apply Herbivore, a purple with green shimmers and a slight green sheen, on the lid concentrating on the inner corner and the outer V.

3. Apply Wicked, a purple-green duo chrome color, on the center of the lid, pushing the color onto the crease.

4.Apply Dragon Scales, a red/blue/brown multi-chrome shadow, onto the crease and on the lower lash line.

5.Blend the color ever so slightly. Don't over blend; you don't want the colors to be muddy.

6. Apply liner on the upper lash line and apply heavy mascara. The liner and mascara will imitate the limbs of an insect. (Riiiight...I can just imagine my lashes wiggling like little insect legs! That would be so cool.)

What do you guys think? This was a very random look, and I kinda just winged it. No pun intended.
