Hello ^_^ How are you today?
Here is my second look using the Wet N Wild 'Greed' Palette (You can see the first look HERE). While I was creating this look, I was listening to the song called "The Light That Blinds" by Shadows Fall and it sort of just went with this look. This has a sort of "light at the end of a tunnel" effect. It is mostly a shroud of black, but in the center, behold the awesome, shiny light! This is very nostalgic for me. When I was in high school, I was very goth/emo and I used to wear black eyeshadow ALL the time.

Tutorial
(I forgot one step D:<)
1. Apply your primer all over your lid. Apply a piece of scotch tape to get a straight line and to catch fallout.
2. This is where I got a little ahead of myself and forgot to take a picture of one of the steps.
You want to first get a flat brush and go for color #1, the matte black. You have two choices, either apply the matte black all over the lid or apply it all over and leave the center of the lid bare. I personally decided to not apply the black in the center and just applied it on the outer and inner parts of the lids.
3.Then I grabbed a second flat brush, sprayed it with water, and applied color #2 wet on the center of the lid. Make it as opaque as possible.
4. Apply color #3, the matte peach, above the black to blend out the black. Remove the scotch tape.
5. Apply a black pencil on the waterline.
6. With a small brush, apply color #1, the matte black on the lower lash line.
7. Apply color #2, the shimmery silver/gold, and apply it in the inner corner. I kind of messed up when I was doing this, so I had to alter the shape of the look a little with more black in the outer V.
8. Lastly, apply mascara, liquid liner, and false lashes (lashes and liner are completely optional)
The look makes the eyes REALLY stand out~! I really like it! But because the eyes are dramatic, try to go easy on the cheeks and lips.
And course some silly pictures. I was so bored so I was being a completely weirdo... and If you are wondering I have Julep's Hayden nail polish on my nails.
It is a dramatic look, but tell me, would you wear this out for a night out?
wowww bwautiful

DeleteThis is such a pretty look! I don't know if I could ever pull off something like this though - black shadows always make me look like a panda bear lol. It looks so good on you though! I have to try the scotchtape trick out; I've always wondered how you get the outer corner to be so straight :)
ReplyDeleteThank you. You can always try the same technique with a lighter color: grey, blue, purple, you name it.
DeleteHaha, I don't usually use the tape unless I want a very sharp line :D
