Review: Prestige 'My Blackest Lashes' Mascara

I never noticed that I don't do any mascara reviews, even though I constantly use different mascaras.
I mean, I have used so many mascaras! I hardly ever purchase the same mascara because I want to find the perfect mascara.
Sadly, I always have very different experiences with mascaras. I always love the one I am using at the time, repurchase it, then hate it. Well, there was a few exceptions: L'oreal Voluminous mascara was a total fail for me from the start.
I purchased this mascara from the recommendation of a youtube guru...but I cannot recall who it was! Arhhgg!

Price and Availability
I purchased this at Rite Aid for about $7. I can't remember exactly how much it was, but it was $6 and some change. It should be sold where ever Prestige is sold.

Brush
The brush is very standard; kind of old school. Most mascaras now a days have rubber wands, or some crazy shape. But this brush is just...normal. It is only slightly tapered.
My favorite thing about this brush is that it doesn't pick up excessive amounts of product. I hate it when a mascara brush has tons of product on it and you have to scrape of the excess on the opening of the mascara tube. That is not a problem with this mascara :D

Formula
I personally find this to be a drier formula than, for example, Maybelline's The Falsies mascara (which was the mascara I used before this one). I like the fact that the formula is drier because it doesn't clump my lashes as much and it doesn't weigh them down.

PROS:
~Affordable
~The brush is decent
~Great formula

~No excess product on brush
~No smudging or flaking

CONS:
~Mascara is not as black as I expected
~It can clump my lashes together a little

Without mascara (no curling either...I don't use lash curlers)

 With mascara (One coat)

Verdict
I actually really like this mascara. I don't know about it making my lashes the blackest, because it certainly does not make my lashes "my blackest lashes." But overall, it is a great mascara for the price. I like it much better that Maybelline's The Falsies mascara for sure.

Rating: 8/10 (It dried up faster than expected,  I still used it up though.)

Recommend? Yes. If you are looking for a good drugstore mascara that does not have a rubber brush, you might want to give this mascara a try!
Repurchase? Yes, if I don't find anything better. But this will go on my list of great mascaras!
EDIT (10/11): I noticed that the mascara dried up faster than normal. It isn't too bad if you only use one mascara at a time and you use it regularly. If not, you might have an issue with this drying up and you might have to toss it early.
