Haul + First Impression: Lime Crime 'Chinchilla' and 'D'lilac'

 Hello~ <3
I am in a very happy mood today ^_^ Tomorrow, Oct. 25th, is my birthday and I have a little treat to share with you all. I bough these ages age, I think it was about the first days of September. These two pretties have been sitting in my mail box for quite some time!! I totally forgot about them, and then I discovered them not too long ago. It was like a mini birthday present to my self :) Anyways here is a mini first impression review. Hope you enjoy.

Price and Availability
$16 per tube. I however, had a 15% off coupon~  Shipping is also $5, flat rate.
You can purchase these on Lime Crime's website or at Space NK stores.

Packaging
I have already reviewed a Lime Crime lipstick before, and I stated that I loved the packaging. This is still true, but my thoughts have changed slightly. My other lipstick, Airborne Unicorn, broke. I don't mean the actual lipstick, but the cap of the lipstick tube. It cracked, and the lid does not close properly. What this tells me is that the tube, although extremely cute, is not of great quality. In this case, I feel that Lime Crime chose cuteness over quality. If you own Lime Crime lipstick or want to buy some, I recommend you are careful not to drop them.

D'Lilac

 Color:
a very pale, creamy lavender. It does have some slight pink and grey undertones, but for the most part it is one of the truest lavender colors I have seen.
Formula:
I am very impressed with the formula. I had heard really bad things about the formula of D'Lilac, but I love it! I believe this lipstick was recently reformulated, so that might be why it has a better formula. I find that one swipe of this is very pigmented, and it covers the lips nicely. It is creamy, and it reminds me of MAC's Amplified Creme lipsticks. It your lips are dry, it can emphasize the dry patches so be careful. Overall, I am very content with this color. I was very hesitant about it at first to be honest, but it definitely impressed me.
One very badly applied swipe!! LOL

Chinchilla

Color:
A cement grey with lavender undertones. Very unusual color, but it actually looks really cool. This color reminds me of one of my all time favorite lipsticks, MAC Blooming Lovely. The difference is that Blooming Lovely has pink undertones, and Chinchilla has more lavender and grey, with no pink.
Formula:
This was similar to D'Lilac in formula. It was also very pigmented, but it was actually easier to use. I feel that Chinchilla was a little more moisturizing and smoother that D'Lilac.

One every blurry swipe

I will have some better swatches for you guys later. These swatches came out terrible! But I didn't have time to re-swatch them. I hope you can sort of see how the color looks though. I will probably use them an a FOTD sometime soon as well.

Thank you for reading, and until next time!

  11. I'm sorry but how could you like LimeCrime AND Fyrinnae ?!?! They are the top and the s*** in indie compagnies, of course LimeCrime isn't the top.
If you like these colors see OCC, better IMO and cheaper.

  12. @Doe Deere: Thank you. I will definitely email them. :D

@Ju: I respect your opinion, as I think you should respect mine. I know companies like Lime Crime are very controversial, but I personally have never had any issues with the company or their products. As for Fyrinnae, although I don't like the way they have their store set up, I really love their products.
I buy these with my money and these are 100% my opinions. I wouldn't spend my money on then if the products were horrible.
OCC products are great, I can agree with that.
I thank you for your suggestion and opinion.

  15. Really sorry, I didn't want to hurt you or being rude. As respect your opinion but I'm very euh, what's the word? Yeah, I was curious by your choices. Didn't agree with you doesn't mean I don't respect you, maybe I didn't write with the good words. I will be more carefull next time ;)
(but I still think LC is not a good company and I prefer Fyrinnae, they have more respect for their customers but it's only my opinion ^^ ).

  16. @Ju: Oh that is okay. Like I said, everyone is entitled to their own opinions, and I think if you don't like them, then that is fine. After all, we are all here to exchange thoughts on products and brands, so you have a right to express you thoughts. ^_^
