How insane! January is almost over and yet again it is time to do a monthly favorites. It is not yet the end, but close enough. I have been ridiculously busy, so I should just plan ahead of time :D
1.Reviva Labs Makeup Primer
I LOOVE this primer so much! This is my second bottle (I just recently finished my first bottle and bought 2 back ups). I always have to apply this before applying my BB cream. It definitely helps the application of foundation and it makes the foundation last a little longer. The best thing is that it doesn't break me out and that it is actually worth buying and using.
2. Lioele Triple the Solution BB Cream (I need to do an updated review of this foundation)
I started using this again after I finished my Skin79 Oriental BB Cream, and although I now prefer the Skin79 one, this is still a really great BB Cream. It has a heavier coverage than the Skin79 BB cream and is a little more beige toned. I definitely love it enough to purchase it again, but I am still at odds as which of the two I would repurchase first. @_@
3. NARS Danmari Palette (Sin)
I have had this palette for over a month now, and I can say without a doubt that my favorite color is Sin. I thought it might be too dark for me, but it really isn't. I don't own any full size NARS blushes, but I had imagined that the colors would be a little more pigmented. I can't say for sure, but regardless, I am in love with Sin. I have practically used it all month. It is such a great winter color! For swatches, go HERE.
(I used it in my Psychotic Galactic Empress look).
4. Chanel Illusion D'Ombre eyeshadow in 'Mirifique'
I haven't had this for long, but I am totally in love with it. It is such an amazing color, I mean just look at the sparkles *~* It also doesn't crease or smudge throughout the day!
5. Wet n Wild 'Petal Pusher' Palette
Although I love the entire palette, I have mostly only been using two of the colors in the palette: the right "Eyelid" and "Crease" colors. The "Eyelid" shade is a really gorgeous purple with copper shimmer, and the "Crease" color is a dark purple with purple shimmer. To see swatches go HERE and to see an eye look using this palette go HERE.
6. Gold Eyeshadows (especially Chase from the UD 15th Anniversary Palette)
I mentioned that I have been loving gold eyeshadows. My favorite right now is Chase, which is SUPER pigmented and just a really lovely gold =3
7. Jordana Matte Lipstick in Lily Rose
I <333 this~ Not only is it a beautiful mauve/purple/pink, but it also has a great matte formula. Another great thing is that it costs less that $3! This color actually reminds me a lot of Revlon's Pink Pout matte lipstick, but this one is slightly more purple.

What are your favorites for this month?
Ikwym, time is flying by! I'm so curious about the Reviva Labs primer, I've heard good things about it. Is more for oily skin though?
ReplyDeleteI have dry/combo skin and it works very well for me!
DeleteLove seeing this favourites post so early!! I have only just started using my Danmari palette but am loving Sin most of all:)
ReplyDeleteYay~ Sin is awesome!
DeleteGreat picks for January!! :D you know what...I keep thinking that the days are going by slower than usual...but then I realize that January is a week from it's end! Oh my gah. lol.
ReplyDeleteI'm curious of how the Lioele BB cream would hold up on my skin.
Ah, and Petal Pusher! That palette is always sold out out of the 3 in my area. =/
The Lioele BB cream holds up pretty good on me. It has a semi-matte finish, and is not at dewy as other bb creams.
Deletewow that chanel Illusion D'Ombre shadow is gorgeous!!!
ReplyDeleteRight? ^_^
Deletei have seen that makeup primer, and I'm interested in trying it
ReplyDeleteYou should~ It is phenomenal.
DeleteThat Jordana lipstick packaging actually looks pretty cool. I had to really wrack my brain this month for favorites - I'm just not wearing much makeup at all. I think I'm like a wilted flower and I need the summer sun :-P
ReplyDeleteI was like that at the beginning of the month, but then I started to use a little more products. Haha, really? I detest summer. I don't tan either ways (I don't get sunburned either), so I am usually pale all year round!
DeleteI liked that Reviva Labs primer, too! I don't wear primer so I gave it to my sister, but it does actually work (which is better than other primers I've tried). The rest of the products you've mentioned are so gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteYeah, I agree. I wouldn't normally use a primer either, but I find that BB creams tend to "slip" more around the face during the day compared to foundations. Also, it helps with dry patches as well.
DeleteGreat post, the Chanel shadow looks so amazing !!!

DeleteWow, Nancy your Chanel Illusion D'Ombre eyeshadow is LOVE! love the sparkly black shade. :)

ReplyDeleteI can't believe it's already end of Jan - I'm still getting use to 2012! I'm been wanting to try NARS sin for a while now, but it'll have to wait till after my ban!
