Harry Potter Series: Ravenclaw

When I do my eye makeup, I never really know what I am doing. I don't plan ahead on the placement of my eyeshadows, so my eye looks always depend on how I feel the moment I am applying my makeup. So today I was getting ready to apply my eyeshadow, and I grabbed a bunch of different eyeshadows.I ended up with blues on my eyelid, but somehow ended up with a bronze eyeshadow on my lower lash line. At first I didn't like it, but after a little while I started to grow very fond of it. Blue with bronze really reminds me of Ravenclaw from Harry Potter because their house colors are blue and bronze. I  love the name Ravenclaw! I guess its because crows are my favorite animals, next to dinosaurs that is :D

Products Used
~ELF 'Eyelid Primer'
~Fyrinnae 'Pixie Epoxy'
~Illamasqua 'Alluvium' Pigment
~Shiro Cosmetics 'Midna' Pigment
~Wet N Wild 'Vanity' Palette
~L'oreal 'Lineur Intense' liquid liner

How to Achieve this Look:

1. Apply a primer all over your lid. I used the ELF primer and the Pixie Epoxy.
2. Apply Alluvium on the lid. Do not go past the crease.
3. Apply 'Midna' on the crease, blending it in with 'Alluvium' that was on the lid .
4. Apply the matte brown color from the 'Vanity' palette above 'Midna' in order to blend that color and also to transition into the highlight color.
5. Apply the matte white in the 'Vanity' palette as a brow highlight.
6. Apply the shimmery bronze color from the 'Vanity' palette on the lower line line.
5. Apply liquid liner and mascara.

What do you guys think? Do you like the combination of blue and bronze?

  3. I love it! I don't really plan either. Sometimes an outfit will inspire me or I'll want a certain look. I love getting new make up and experimenting with that also.

I definitely like the blend of colors on your top lid.
