Review: Wet n Wild 'Sweet As Candy' Eyeshadow Trio

Greetings lovely readers! I hope you are all having a wonderful week! I am rather cheerful myself, which is kind of unusual~ Anyways, I am taking a small break from playing video games (Skyrim Dawnguard anyone?) to bring you a quick review.

If you have been living under a rock for the past two years, then these Wet n Wild trios might be new to you. I love drugstore cosmetics, and when it comes to drugstore eyeshadows, Wet n Wild is hands down my favorite. Wet n Wild is really inexpensive, yet they offer a variety of shades with amazing pigmentation. These are a must-have from the drugstore!

Price and Availability

$2.99 at most drugstores. You can sometimes find them even cheaper if they are on sale!

Swacthes
The palette contains a soft pearly white, taupe, and cool frosty pink.

Product in Action!

I have on the pink color on the lid, the taupe-brown on the crease and lash line, and the pearl white on the brown bone along with some mascara.

Review

$2.99 for three good quality eyeshadows? It can't get much better than that. These eyeshadows rival the quality of MAC ones. They are very smooth and easy to blend. These three colors from the Sweet As Candy trio are very soft shades, much better suited for those of you who like a demure look. I personally picked this trio up for those occasions where I want a very soft look (mostly for when I go to church). I also had thought that the pink shade would be more warm-toned (but it is actually rather cool-toned).
Like with most of the other Wet n Wild products, I always have to complain about the packaging: it kind of sucks. I hate having to open the palettes when you first buy them because they have these really annoying stickers on the cover that are very difficult to remove. Make sure to be careful with the palettes too, they can break easily. And this brings me to my last point: the eyeshadows are very soft and they can break easily as well. I have already had 2 incidents with my eyeshadows shattering when I accidentally hit them against my desk. So be careful to handle them gently.
Even with those cons, this is still an amazing palette.

Rating: 9.5/10

Have you tried this, or any of the other wet n Wild trios?

Diablo III Series: Monk

Greetings from the Dark Side~

I am free! I just finished my last term paper (16 pages long, ugh) and I just went to Warped Tour yesterday (which was amazing, by the way), so I am finally free to blog. Since I am getting back to playing Diablo III I wanted to celebrate by doing a Diablo III inspired look. I decided to do a simple and wearable look, so the Monk class seemed to be the best choice. I don't have a monk character, but one of my friends does. The monk is a peaceful, patient and good person who aids those in need. A neutral yet fierce look seems quite suitable :)

The colors I used were gold and brown (he wears very neutral colors). I used some white for his purity as well as a reddish lip color to represent the red dots on his forehead.
Not my image.

Unbound Eden Cosmetics EOTD: Azura's Star

Long time no see! I feel like I haven't posted anything in ages! Sorry for the lack of posts, I have been terribly busy writing a really boring term paper xD I'm still not done, but I thought I would just take a small break and update my blog~

I haven't been wearing much makeup these past days since I am stuck in my room until my essay is finished and I want to give my face a little break from wearing makeup, but I wanted to share this look I did the other day. If you visit my Facebook, you have already seen this look ;)

Products Used

-Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy
-Unbound Eden Cosmetics 'Skooma'
-Unbound Eden Cosmetics 'Azura's Star'
-Sugarpill Cosmetics 'Tako'
-Dolly Wink Liquid Liner
-ES A500 Lashes
-Prestige My Longest Lashes mascara

This look is quite easy. Just apply Skooma on the lid, Azura's Star on the crease and lower lash line, Tako (white eyeshadow or eyeliner) on the waterline, mascara, eyeliner, and falsies.

Azura's Star

Azura's Star, from the Elders Scroll games, is a daedric artifact that serves as a soul gem but is not destroyed when used.
I am soooo excited for the upcoming Skyrim DLC, Dawnguard, so this is a homage to that :D

I hope you are all doing fantastically! I will be 100% free after I am done with this term paper, and I am going to Warped Tour in San Francisco this Saturday! So excited~

Thank you for reading ♥ Have a great week!

Diablo III Series: Cydaea, Maiden of Lust

Greetings from the Dark Side ^_^

After asking you guys on my giveaway what makeup series you would like to see, many of you said Diablo! Which is funny because I had already been thinking of it, but you all gave me the push I needed to actually go ahead and do it. The one character who caught my eye was Cydaea, one of Azmodan's (the Lord of Sin) lieutenants. She is known as the Maiden of Lust, and previously known as the Mistress of Pain. She is a seductive and grotesque creature with the upper body of a woman and the lower body of a spider. During Act III, she continuously taunts the player up until the players faces her in a boss battle. What caught my eye was how she was both vile and beautiful.

From the picture of her, you can hopefully see that she has a messy smokey eye. See has what seems to be tear smudges going down her eyes (almost like if she was crying). Her eyes are covered with a veil. Her skin is a greenish-blue color and she has dark colored lips. I took inspiration from the makeup she is wearing, but I did NOT recreate her look. I would like to recreate her whole look though. It would be really fun to do.

The eye look itself was very messy, smudgy, and dark. From far, it looks much better.

Products Used

-MAC Cream Color Base 'Bat Black'
-Wet n Wild 'Lust' Palette
-Urban Decay 24/7 pencil liner 'Perversion'
-Prestige My Biggest Lashes mascara
-Illamasqua 'Bedaub' Cream Pigment (I applied some of this minty color on the brown bone to mimick her green-tinted skin)
-Revlon Colorstay Whipped Foundation
-Sugarpill Tako (to powder face to add a white cast)
-Lime Crime 'Styletto'
-MAC 'Blackwire' lip gloss

Cydaea: Maiden of Lust

And then my camera died...so I took some pictures with my phone. Seriously what is up with my hair?! It never cooperates D:

You can also do this look without the tear stain things.

I hope you guys like it~ I would totally wear this out. I have no problem wearing a black lip or wearing a smokey eye with the dark lips. I am seriously in love with black lipstick right now xD

Do you have any suggestions for characters from Diablo III? I already have some in mind, but I would love to hear your thoughts :)

Thank you for reading! Have a wonderful day ♥

Random FOTDs #2

Warm greetings to you all~

I recently noticed that my camera and my Picture folder is filled with FOTDs from ages ago. I feel it is too late to late to do a proper post on them so I am just going to post a bunch of different pictures :) That ay I can get rid of them from for good! If there is a particular look you like or a product I used that you are curious about, please leave a comment~

And yeah some of these are a couple of months old!

Yay for random pictures :)

Review: KKCenterhk Elise #154 Lashes

Hello!

Before I get into the review, I just wanted to give you guys a little update. I am technically done with my finals, but I have to write one final term paper that is due next week. I should be back to my daily blogging after I finish that :) I am very much looking forward to having nothing to do this summer xD Just kidding, I have a lot of stuff to do! Mainly going to Warped Tour this month in San Francisco~ Woot! But anyways, I digress. To the lashes!

The Elise #154 lashes are these lashes with thin gold-threaded fabric. They are really cool! I have never owned any lashes like these!

Price and Availability

$5.05 for one pair on the KKCenterhk website.

Review

I don't know what it is about the design of these lashes, but I just think they look so cool! They aren't the most wearable lashes, but they are great for a dramatic or costume look. The lashes are not very heavy, and I think they are light enough to wear for a long period of time. The fabric of the lashes is veeeeery thin, and they seem like they are very easy to rip but I was very careful when I applied them.
I would recommend these for a costume or a very dramatic lash look, especially because I only got 3 uses of these before I accidentally ripped the fabric on one of the lashes; therefore they are not very practical.
