EOTD: Socialite Dreams

[This should technically be Eyes of the Night~but whatever]

Hi Dolls~

I did this look last night at the suggestion of Vonnie from Socialite Dreams. She asked me to do a look using the colors gold, green, and blue. I was going to wait to think of something, but I ended up going out last night with my older brother and some of his friends. I had zero makeup when they decided to go out, and I literally had 5 minutes to get ready. I spent like 2 minutes on this look~ I hope you guys like it, specially you Vonnie (Thanks for the request by the way)!

Products Used:
~ELF Eyelid Primer
~Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy
~MAC Gold Mine eyeshadow
~MAC She Who Dares eyeshadow (LE)
~MAC Deep Truth eyeshadow
~Prestige My Blackest Lashes mascara

I went for all shimmery colors because I love shimmer for night time looks <3 You can definitely replace shimmery colors for matte ones!

How to Achieve this Look
1.Apply your primer or base.
2.Apply She Who Dares (the green side) or any shimemery green on the outer 2/3's of the lid
3.Apply Gold Mine eyeshadow, or any shimemery gold, on the inner 1/3 of the lid and the inner corner
4.Blend the gold into the green until you have a nice transition between the two colors
5.Using a matte light brown, apply it above the crease. This will help to blend the gold and green on the crease (I didn't have a lot of time to blend, so my application is far from perfect).
6.Apply Deep Truth, or any shimmery dark blue, on the lower lash line.
7.With Deep Truth, wing out the color outwards, creating a reverse cat eye look
(in other words, a cat-eye liner but on the lower lash line).
8.Using a black pencil, line the waterline and tightline as well.
9.Apply mascara.

This is not as complicated as it might sound. It seriously took me under 2 minutes to do this. Its not perfect, but who cares. I got a couple of compliments from strangers who liked my eye makeup~

Thanks for reading ♥ Stay Awesome.

Review: Yanqina Volumizer Mascara

Hey Dolls,

I bring you another mascara review~ This time, it is the Yaquina Volumizer mascara from KKCenterhk.

Price and Availability
$19.80 at KKCenterhk

When it comes to mascara, I like the ones I can apply without any worries and that will also give me nice looking lashes. I don't usually wear false eyelashes out so I want a mascara that will give me very dark and long lashes lashes. Here is what I think of this mascara.

PROS:
~It has two different options for mascara: a natural look, and a bolder look.
~Step 1 (natural mascara) gives a very subtle,  no-makeup, look. This is great for very natural and minimal makeup.
~Step 2 gives really great black and volumized lashes. Perfect for dramatic looks
~I really love the mascara wand of Step 1. It is super easy to work with
~I don't get flaking during the day

CONS:
~Step 2 tends to get a lot of extra product on the brush, so I always have to wipe it off before I use it
~Step 2 tends to be very difficult to work with. I have to be extremely careful when I apply it or else I will get tons of mascara smudges on my lid (thus ruining my eye makeup)
~Step 2 always leaves some smudges when I apply it on my lower lashes.
~This is pretty pricey for a mascara (I tend to buy drugstore mascaras)

Here are some photos of me wearing this mascara:

NO MASCARA
 STEP 1~See I quite love Step 1!

STEP 2~ Notice all the mascara smudges though...except in one picture because I cleaned them up a bit.

Verdict
Step 1 is really great for super natural looks. I don't get smudging or flaking with that one. I also like step 2 because it gives me dark, volumized lashes, but I hate that it leaves smudges on my lid. If I use Step 2 I have to be super careful. That being said, I will continue to use this mascara and hopefully I can solve my smudging issues.

Rating? 6.5/10
Recommend? Hmmm, this is not my favorite mascara and honestly I would not be super excited to recommend it to people. But if you are the type of person who loves to spend a little more time making your lashes look awesome, and you don't mind the price then I would recommend it. I love the fact that it has two options for you to choose from.
Repurchase? No. I don't think this was the best mascara for me, so I would not buy it with my own money. That and the fact that I don't ever spend more than $9 on mascara ;D

Thank you all for reading~ Stay awesome!

EDIT: I have been using this mascara more, and I like it a little better than I did before. But I still would not purchase this with my money.

Sanrio FOTD: Little Twin Stars

No, I did not forget about my Sanrio Series! I just procrastinated a little bit...hehe. But I finally did another look ^_~ Yay~

The Little Twin Stars are angel-like twin siblings. The younger one is a boy named Kiki  and the eldest twin is a girl named Lala. They were introduced  into Sanrio in 1975.

I think they are so cute because they remind me of my best friend's younger siblings. Two of my best friends are sisters, and they have twin siblings who are also one boy and one girl. We all love Sanrio, and they tend to occasionally purchase Little Twin Star products because it reminds them of their twin siblings.

For this look I wanted to use blue (For Kiki's hair), pink (for Lala's hair) and yellow (for the star). Now that I see the pictures of the look, I wish I would have used a lighter pink. The pink I used was too red and a little too bright. I also should have blended the colors in a little more. Oh well. We learn from our mistakes!
Still, it is fun, bright, and it reminds me of candy and lollipops.

Products Used (EYES)
~ELF Eyelid Primer
~MAC 'Electric Eel' eyeshadow
~MAC 'Passionate' eyeshadow
~Tarina Tarantino 'Candy Cameo' eyeshadow
~MAC 'Chrome Yellow' eyeshadow
~Wet N Wild Greed Palette (I used the matte peachy-beige and the matte light beige)
~MUFE Aqua Eyes black eyeliner
~MAC 'Blacktrack' Fluidline
~Prestige My Blackest Lashes mascara

How to Achieve this Look
1. Like always, apply your primer.
2.Apply Electric Eel, or any bright blue, on the outer half of the eye. This represent Kiki, the boy. He is one half of the whole :D
3.Take Passionate and apply it on the inner half. If you want a more subtle look, skip this step.
4. Using Candy Cameo, or any light pink, apply in on the inner half, over Passionate.
5.Now using a light peachy-beige apply it above the crease and above the blue and pink (see the picture below for reference). This will blend the colors slightly and provide some color transition to the highlight color.
6.Take a matte light beige and apply it on the brown bone as a highlight shade.
7.Apply liner on the upper lash line (MAC Fiuidline) and on the waterline (MUFE Aqua Eyes).
8.Apply mascara

Products Used (FACE,Cheeks, and Lips)
~Erase Paste Concealer in  #1
~Artistry Powder Foundation in 'Chabilis'
~ELF Blush in  'Pink Passion'
~NYX Matte Lip Cream  in Addis Ababa

Review + FOTD: Illamasqua Bedaub Cream Pigment

Hello lovelies! I hope you are all well <3
I am extremely happy for some reason today! And I am even more happy because I will finally be able to post a look with the Illamasqua cream pigment I purchased a while back.

Curious on my initial reaction of this product? Check that post HERE

Price and Availability
$24 at selected Sephora stores, or on Sephora online. You can also purchase from Illamasquq counters, or Illamasqua online.

Product Review

Let me make this easier and just breakit down into pros and cons~

PROS:
~Unique product. There isn't any other matte cream shadows that I know of.
~Extremely pigmented, thus why it is a "cream pigment" and not a "creme shadow."
~The color is also very unique! A minty green~
~Multi-purpose product. You can use them for anything, really. Eyes, lips, cheeks, face, body, and hair.
~Easy to blend and very to apply
~This is not dry at all. It is super creamy and smooth.
~This will last you a pretty long time since a little product goes a long way

CONS
~Will be expensive for some people, I hesitated to buy this because of the price
~It is prone to creasing, so make sure to use both a primer and a powder to set it
(Or an eyeshadow or loose pigment)

Verdict
Overall, I am very happy with this product. This color is not the most versatile color, but I do love it. I am considering getting another cream pigment because I love the formula and versatility of the actual product. I recommend this to people who love cream products, or people who love multi-tasking products.

Rating: 8.5/10
Recommend? Yes~
Repurchase? I would not repurchase this color, because I can't use it for too many things (I use it as an eyeshadow and as a color corrector for redness), but I would purchase a couple other colors :D

FOTD

Let me tell you guys a little background for this look. I was wearing this today as a liner on my upper lash line when I went to school. I arrived home and did  what I usually do: check blogger and other blogs. I always look at xSparkage.com because I love the looks that Leesha does. It is funny because she did a look inspired by Nicki Minaj's makeup at the VMAs. She used a liner similar in color to Bedaub and I loved the recreation that she did.
I should mention, I hate Nicki Minaj. I like her makeup and clothes sometimes, but I hate her music. But I loved the look that Leesha did, so that is why I decided to try it out. I will say I am replicating the look that Leesha did, and am by no means doing a Nicki Minaj inspired look! ;D

Products Used:
EYES

~ELF Eyelid Primer
~Illamasqua Bedaub Creme Pigment
~Artistry Translucent powder
~Wet N Wild Vanity Palette
~Yanquina Volumizer mascara
~MAC Blacktrack Fluidline
 FACE
~Kat Von D Tattoo concealer
~Skin79 BB Cream
~Artistry Translucent powder
CHEEKS
~MAC Well Dressed blush
~MAC Dolly Mix blush
LIPS
~ELF Classy $1 lipstick ( I ♥ this color)

How to Achieve this Look: Head over to Leesha's page and you can see a video on how to do it! :D

*I should mention that In some picture the pigment is going to look cakey. I had applied my eye makeup like normal and I applied this new mascara. Unfortunately I got a bunch of smudges of mascara on my eyelid and it messed up my eye makeup. I went over everything to get rid of the mascara smudges, but since I had applied powder over the cream pigment already, when I reapplied the pigment it made it a little bit cakey. So excuse that. I will include some pictures of before I re-applied the pigment, but I will have some mascara smudges >_<"
See how it looks cakey? T_T Nancy is a sad Panda.
See the smudges?? T_T

Okay, cam whoring time~

"Use the FORCE!" ;D I was thinking that!~

When I make this face, I get an odd chin dimple. Do you see it? Haha.

Why do I do that with my pinky?!! I have it extended outwards in most of these pics.
I really like this look! It is not something I would normally wear, but I thank Leesha for her post.
If you guys have any request, don't be shy to tell me ^_~
Thank you all for reading and commenting :D I appreciate all your support and love!

FOTD: Teal Grunge

As I mentioned in my previous post, this was the look I had on when I went to Warped Tour. Warped Tour is a rock festival event, so I went for something darker.
To me, this is a very grunge look: dark and smokey. But instead of doing a plain black smokey eye, I incorporated a teal color.

Products Used:
~ELF Eyelid Primer
~Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy
~NARS Night Flight eyeshadow
~NARS Tropic eyeshadow
~ELF liquid liner pen
~Maybelline The Falsies (I think..I honestsly can't remember)

How to Achieve this Look
1.Apply your primer and/or base. I used both my primer and Pixie Epoxy since I was going to be at a concert and I wanted my makeup to last as long as possible.
2.Take Night Flight, which is a black with blue shimmers, and
apply it on the outer half of the eye and on the outer V.
3.Taking a blending brush, blend out the harshness of Night Flight just slightly and make sure to blend the outer V as well, blending outwards towards the temple(Not all the way to the temple! Just saying in what direction).
4.Using a flat shader brush, apply Tropic, a bright teal blue with silver glitter, on the inner half of the lid.
5. With a blending brush, blend Tropic into Night Rider. Concentrate the blending at the middle part of the lid. Make sure to blend the  colors slightly past the crease.
6.Apply Night Rider on the lower lash line
7.Apply a little of Tropic in the inner corner.
8.Apply mascara and liner.

See? I tell you, I love those rubber bracelet things! The one I am wearing in the crazy picture above is one from the band Silverstein.

I hope you guys like this look! It was kind of difficult to explain how to do the look, so I hope you understand my explanation. If not, could do a step-by-step picture tutorial on how to do it. Let me know if you want that :)
Thanks for reading, and have a great week :D

Quick question, does anyone know how to center the blog tittle image? I can't seem to figure it out @_@ I would appreciate any help!

FOTD + Haul: Vans Warped Tour 2011

(Warning! Picture heavy! And Long post! You have been warned)

Hii Gals~ Hope you are all doing well :) Specially all you girls from the east coast! I hope you are all safe!

I have this waaay over due post on my experience at Warped Tour. It was on August 11th~ It was such an amazing experience *sigh* I got to see various great bands, and I got to meet some of the band members! I was so ecstatic~ Here is my small concert haul:

1. Destroy Rebuild Until God Shows Tank Top
~I like this a lot! I love the design on the tank and I love the band!

2. Destroy Rebuild Until God Shows Band Tee
~Again, I like the design and the band so this is a great band tee for me.

 3. Destroy Rebuild Until God Shows rubber bracelet
~I love these rubber bracelet things! I have a couple of some other bands~ I don't know why I love them so much! I prefer these over jewelry any day of the week!
Ah and this bracelet I am wearing was a present from my awesome friend Alex. She brought it for me from Rome, where she was studying abroad for the summer. I really love it and I wear it all the time.

FOTD
This was the look I wore at the concert, although I had sun glasses all the time so no one really saw my pretty makeup :(  I will do a separate post on this eye look because I don't want this post to be too long so I will just give you a quick look at the makeup. I went for a grungy, dark look. It was a terrible idea! It was so hot, and I was sweating like crazy. I felt my makeup was going to melt off. We were at the concert from 12-8, and it is summer in north california, and it was hot!!

Here are a few pics of the actual concert, and I am not showing you me, cause I looked like a hot mess:

Michael Jagmin. Singer of A Skylit Drive. My friends and I saw him we walked around and took some pics with him. I am not going to show the one I took with with! I look so crazy. But you can see me on the left corner of the pic. I am holding a crumpled piece of paper. That was the set list of D.R.U.G.S. which Criag Owens threw and I caught it.
Craig Owens. Singer of D.R.U.G.S. and ex-singer of Chiodos. He was at a signing, and we saw him and got to take picture of him before they hit the stage.
A Skylit Drive performance. Jag goes into the crowd. Man people are brutal. I got pulled by the hair because he was right in front of me at one point and the guy wanted to get close to Jag. He decided I was in the way... >_<"
I love this pic! A lot of the members on the band look like they have gravity-defying hair!
Destroy Rebuild Until God Shows Performance~

Craig Owens being awesome

Before you say anything about the picture above and deem me a pervert, no I did not purposely take a picture of Craig Owen's crotch! I swear! Lol. I love this picture because you can see three hands on the far left: Craig Owens' hand, my hand, and my friend's hand~ Her hand you can see the most clearly (you can see her nails and all). Craig's hand is also clear because you can see his arm, and he is a man so it's pretty hairy, ahaha. My hand is the least clear because it is intertwined with Craig's *insert dreamy sigh*. When singers go into the crowd they need to hang onto people so they won't fall down, and I was the closest person so he clasped onto my hand. I seriously almost died, because Craig Owens has become one of my biggest idols and most favorite artist. Ah, I felt so happy~

Next up is Adam Russel, bassist of D.R.U.G.S and also of the band Story of the Year. The pics are kind of blurry so excuse that. But in the pics of him he looks like he is modeling! I also caught a guitar pic from him, so I was pretty happy!

Haha his hair looks like it was spiked up, but it was just that he swung his hair up, and the picture was taken at the right moment! Haha. Super Saiyan powers~

Ah see! Modeling for the camera!

Oh yeah, work it.

There was a lot of bands that played at Warped Tour~ We also saw Sum 41, Family Force 5 (they were really awesome!), We Came As Romans, and we saw a couple other bands, but I can't remember their names. I wanted to see The Devil Wears Prada and A Day To Remember, but I didn't get to see them.

Okay I am done now! Sorry for the super long post, but I hope you guys can enjoy something a little different and non makeup-related! I will have the EOTD poster later tonight :D There also more concerts that I am going to be going to this year (Blink-182, Alesana, A Skylit Drive, Sleeping with Sirens), so I will most likely also post pics of those~

Do you like either of these bands? And if you listen to rock music, what bands are your favorites? If you don't like rock, what type of music do you like?
