Hello lovelies~
How do you feel about First Impression posts? I thought it would be fun to post my thoughts on products after only using them one time. Today I want to share my thoughts on the Lioele Secret Pore Rich Balm. This is a primer of sorts; a balm that is supposed to help to make pores look smaller and less prominent.
According to the packaging, you can use this balm under foundation, over foundation, or on its own. I personally prefer to apply products like this under foundation. I used it today for the first time under my YSL Teint Resist Foundation.
I have combination skin and get oily on my nose sometimes. The YSL Teint Resist foundation is semi-matte but after hours of wear, I can still get a little oily and when that happens my pores are more prominent. I applied the balm on my nose area and on my forehead, then I applied a thin layer of my foundation.
Thoughts: after applying the balm under my foundation, I instantly noticed that my skin felt muuuch smoother. I also did notice a small difference in my pores. They looked slightly diminished, but they were still there. This wasn't some magical pore eraser, but it did help. At the end of the day, it was about the same as when I didn't use the pore balm. My overall impression is that this does help to minimize pores when you apply it, but it won't last all day. I want to see how this product will fare under a BB cream; maybe it would work better than with a standard foundation.
Below, I am wearing the balm with a thin layer of the YSL Teint Resist foundation (I'm so sad this foundation is discontinued! It was the perfect everyday foundation for me!), with nothing else besides lip balm.

I think your skin looks really nice :) I usually can't be bothered with an extra step like this, though... too lazy!
ReplyDeleteI think your skin looks really good! I don't think I've ever tried Lioele, but now I'm interested :)
ReplyDeleteI don't usually wear foundations (BB cream instead) but I love primers, especially any that help with pores (mine aren't super big but I like a perfected look).
ReplyDeleteThanks for the review, I love Lioele.
