NOTD: Pink Glitters

Greetings from the Dark Side~

I've neglected from doing any nail posts because my nails have been really crazy as of late. They grow long, then they break or they are all uneven >_<"
But, either ways, I'll show you the mani I'm sporting at the moment.
I have on Cult Nails 'Princess' as a base with OPI's 'Teenage Dream' glitter on top of all my nails except the ring finger which has Essie's 'A Cut Above'.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Essie's 'A Cut Above'. It has to be one of my favorite glitters ever!! It looks so gorgeous~! If you have not tried it, I recommend you do!

Shiro Wednesdays: Chimera

Happy Wednesday everyone! How are you enjoying this week?

As I mentioned before, I want to dedicate Wednesdays to Shiro Cosmetics because, well...they are just awesome! I have a lot of Shiro eyeshadows so it seems only right to share how I use them!

Today's look is inspired by the Shiro eyeshadow in 'Chimera' from the Full Metal Alchemist collection. FMA is one of my all-time favorite anime and this eyeshadow brought back a lot of memories. Very sad ones...Poor Nina! If you have watched it you know what I mean. Seriously...saddest moment ever. So I want to dedicate this to Nina's Chimera form~

Cult Nails'Captivated'

Hi hi ^_^

I am getting back to actually swatching the nail polishes I buy, and I wanted to start with this gorgeous polish from Cult Nails called 'Captivated'.

Captivated is  jelly coral with tons of golden glitters. It really is a captivating color!
The formula is good but you have to be careful. It is a jelly, but it is quite thick. You can get an opaque color in two coats, just make sure to let the first coat dry completely before you put on the second one. I didn't wait and it resulted in some smearing and bare patches :(
Also, since this polish is thick and it has a lot of texture to it, applying a top coat is a must in order for it to look really good.

Cult Nails 'Mind Control'

Mind Control~~ The third color from the Cult Nails Super Powers Collection. It is taking me so long to swatch these! I am truly sorry!

Mind Control is a very dark purple with purple/pink micro-glitter. The color is exactly the same as the Stila 'Little Black Dress' Smudge Pot! I was very excited to find out that the colors were the same because now I can match my nails my eye makeup :D I am such a dork!
Other than that, the color is not the most exciting thing. I love purples and I love shimmer, and this has both, but a lot of other people won't be overly excited over this color.

Formula
Like the other Cult Nails polishes, this has a really great formula. It was opaque in two coats and it was not thick or watery. The colors lasts on my nails for a really long time as well and I have had no chips in the past days I have been wearing it.

Swatches
The camera did no justice to the color. In person, it looks so much better!! The shimmers really pop in person, and the base color isn't as dark flat and dark as it looks in the photos.

Cult Nails 'Power Thief'

Here is another color from the Cult Nails Super Powers Collection.

Power Thief is a chocolate brown (sometimes looks taupe or golden brown, depending on the lighting) with very fine multi-color shimmer and bigger silver shimmer. I will outright tell you that I am not a huge fan of the color. Brown does not compliment my skin tone. And although the color doesn't look terrible on my nails, it isn't a color that I would be excited to wear. But, I do want to mention that this is the prettiest brown nail polish I have tried. And if I would to wear a brown polish, it would be this one.

Formula
The formula was excellent. Two coats was completely opaque, it dried really fast, and I have no chips even though I have worn it for more than a week. Seriously, no chips in more than a week! That is pretty amazing.

Verdict
The formula is superb, and the color is very dimensional. If it wasn't for the fact that I hate brown nail polishes, then I think I would have really loved this. The shimmer is this is really stunning, though.
You might ask yourself, "Why buy a brown nail polish if you don't like them?" Well, that is an excellent question. This came with the set of four polishes. Each polish is $10, and the set of four was $30. I was going to buy 3 of the 4, so I essentially got this one for free.

Rating: ...ugh I am not really sure what to put for this. I am not going to rate it because it would be a biased score since I am already telling you guys that I don't like the color. You can use your imagination. Give it whatever score you want :) Haha.

Cult Nails 'Time Traveler'

Hello lovely readers!
I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving (if you celebrate it). Mine was okay, I didn't do much. I did go to visit my grandmother, who came from Mexico just recently. I love my grandma, she is just hilarious! I love to spend time with her, especially since unfortunately my other grandmother passed away about a year ago.  Anyways, besides that, all my time has been consumed by Skyrim. I am so addicted to that game.

I will start doing the swatches for the Cult Nails Super Powers Collection~ This is Time Traveler (Hello Doctor Who reference!) as well as Time Traveler with Clairvoyant on top. Enjoy :)

Time Traveler is a dark imperial blue with a creme/jelly finish.  Honestly, I thought the color was going to be a little brighter, and I am a little disappointed at how dark it turned out. But, I ended up loving how it looked on my nails, so I guess I am not all that sad.

Price and Availability
$10 on the Cult Nails website. I got the entire collection of 4 polishes for $30 during the pre-sale. I am not sure you can get it for $30 still, but you can check.

Formula
This polish applies like a creme, but it has a semi-jelly finish (super glossy). This polish is SUPER opaque (no pun intended), but it is a little bit on the thicker side. It isn't too think, and it is still applies nicely. I just wish it could be a tiny bit less thick, but overall I am very content with the formula.

*I have a base coat, and one thick coat of Time Traveler.

Unicorn Puke Manicure?

Oh my god. I simply had to show you guys this post. It is the funniest thing ever.

I should explain that this is a manicure using Cult Nails "Unicorn Puke" nail polish, which was a limited edition batch of the upcoming "Clairvoyant" polish. This nail polish is part of the Cult Nails Super Powers collection, along with three other shades. One of the other colors is a dark blue jelly called "Time Traveler." Any Doctor Who fans in the house? Yup. A TARDIS colored polish...Ahhh, amazing.
(You can pre-order the collection HERE is you are interested).

"Unicorn Puke" is a purple jelly base with beautiful multi-colored flakes. It is such a gorgeous color. So this blogger made a mani playing up on the fact that the polish was called Unicorn Puke. Here is what she made:
