Review: Glamour Doll Eyes

Greetings from the Dark Side!

I have a review for Glamour Doll Eyes eyeshadows today~ I've been waiting for a while because I was still trying the eyeshadows out. There is one thing that really stands out for me is their artwork. I love the animated-looking images that they use for their packaging and promotion. It is really cute! Loot at the cute packaging:

GDE sent me six eyeshadows to try.
I chose Lovers Lane, Tattooed, Sex Appeal, Island Chic, Fiji Mermaid, and Fire Eater.

Review

I am not sure if it was just my good choice of colors, but I absolutely loved all six of the colors I got. They are all not only super gorgeous colors, but they have a great color payoff as well as a smooth texture. My favorite of the bunch would be Lovers Lane. It is an absolutely stunning red shade that is unique to my collection. It doesn't look nearly as amazing on my swatch as it does in person and when you apply it on your lid.
My next favorite shade is Fiji Mermaid. It is a gorgeous teal-green! And it has a fantastic sheen that looks beautiful when the light reflects on your eye lids ♥ Very reminiscent of a mermaid's reflective tail!
Fire Eater is the only glitter I have tried from GDE and I am amazed at how easy it is to apply. I don't work with glitter that often, but this one is definitely a keeper. I don't even get much glitter fallout when I wear it, which is an added plus.
Although I don't have anything bad to say about these eyeshadows, I do have to mention that I don't particularly like Island Chic. It has amazing pigmentation and easy to use, but I just don't like the color on me. Every time I've tried to wear it, I just don't like it. It makes me look like a cheap hooker. Okay, maybe not that bad...but I just have a personal gripe with the color once I have it applied on my eye lids.
Aside from that,  the only other complaint I have is that Tattooed did have more fallout that most eyeshadows and it tended to be harder to clean up. But I would recommend doing your eye makeup before doing your foundation so it is easier to clean up if you do get fallout.
Other than that I've had a tremendously great experience with Glamour Doll Eyes!

Have you tried GDE? If you have, what other shades do you recommend?
