Valentine's Day Tutorial: Kickass Pinks

Hiii dark siders ♥

It is almost that time of the year again. That day that a lot of people dread: Valentine's Day! It's time to get out your pink eyeshadows, blushes, and lipsticks! For those of you who like bolder looks for February 14th, here is a flirty, kickass pink and purple look you can rock! Personally, I will be going out to bars for the 14th, and this is something I would totally wear for that. It's fun and colorful, but still kind of sweet and girly.

Tutorial: Singles Awareness Day (Ft. Glamour Doll Eyes)

Welcome to the Dark side!

If you are not celebrating Valentine's Day, then you can celebrate Single Awareness Day. Which ever you choose to celebrate, have fun and spend the day with those you love, be it friends, family, or your partner. And most of all, remember to pamper yourself and love yourself. Feb. 14th is a day to share love with those around you, but leave some for yourself too!

If you are looking for a look to really make you feel fierce, then try out this Singles Awareness Day look. This is not a look for the faint of heart. But if you want a rebellious look for Valentine's Day then this look might be what you are looking for! Wear red on your eyes and lips boldly!

FOTD: Casual Valnetine's

Greetings from the Dark Side~

I am not particularly fond of Valentine's Day, but I will still attempt to do some Valentine's Day looks for you who do like Valentine's Day. Instead of doing very dramatic looks, I thought it would be nice to do a casual Valentine's Day inspired look. This is super easy! I used all drugstore products to create it so I hope you like it!

FOTD: Simple Valentine

From the Dark Side of Beauty, I wish you a Happy Valentine's Day!

Hope you all had a  great day! Mine was alright. I hung out with some friends, went to class, and I am currently procrastinating doing my homework like any other day. I am not in a relationship so of course this day, although cheery and fun, is usually not the best days for us who are single.

I was feeling very lazy to do my makeup, so instead I did something extremely simple.
This is as simple as eye makeup can get for me: thin eyeliner and mascara. To give my face more color, I also applied a lip stain.

Products Used
-Lioele Skin79 BB cream
-NYX Blush in 'Peach'
-Tokidoki lip stain balm in  'Skeletrina'
-Dolly Wink liquid eyeliner
-Artistry mascara

Haha, you can see that the swatches of the Dolly Wink liquid eyeliner are still on my hand. One shower and many hand-washes later and it is still there :O

As you can see, the look is very simple. The lips are bright, but very low maintenance since I am wearing a lip stain. The only thing I had to do all day was to apply lip balm to make sure my lips weren't chapped.

Fyrinnae Tutorial: Flirty Valentine

Hello ♥ With Valentine's day around the corner, I thought I would do a couple of eye looks for the occasion. I am not going to lie, Valentine's Day is not my favorite day of the year. I hate the commercialization of the holiday. I do like what the day represents: love and friendship. I therefore want to dedicate my Valentine inspired looks to all those I love. I also want to dedicate it to all of you my readers, who are so kind to me and who have given me the support and confidence to keep this blog up and running. ^_^

This is very simple, yet fun look.It is quick to do and you can use a variation of different color combinations. If you don't want to use pink and purple, use any other color you want.
Using My Memories Suite

Products Used
-Maybelline Color Tattoo 'Painted Purple'
-Fyrinnae 'Sakura' Eyeshadow
-Fyrinnae 'Faerie Glamour'
-Dolly Wink liquid liner
-L'oreal mascara

Tutorial

1. Apply a primer or base. I am using this Maybelline Color Tattoo in 'Painted Purple' as a base to add some color. It is a little sheer, but it works none the less.

2. Use a flat brush to apply 'Sakura' on the entire lid.

 3. Next, apply 'Faerie Glamour' on the crease and outer V. Blend slightly. With the same brush, apply the left over product on the lower lash line for a subtle purple effect.

4. Lastly, apply mascara and liquid liner. If you want to apply falsies, go right ahead. I didn't just to keep this look very simple.
Your look is complete! Now you can go around with a very flirty purple and pink look :D

Speaking of flirting, have you ever had an experience when someone flirts with you at the very worst time? Yesterday, I was in one of the computer labs at my Uni, and this cute guy started to flirt with me. That is fine and all, except for the fact that I had an essay due in 20 minutes and I was not done yet. I wanted to tell him to give me rain check since I was busy, but he took my behavior as me being uninterested, so he left. In my mind I was like "Nooo, come back cute guy!!!" T_T Oh well.
