 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi everyone! I'm Stacey from over at the very lipstick-orientated, The Makeup Edition blog. The awesome Nancy has kindly invited me over to guest post here today so I want to say a big THANK YOU to everyone for having me and Nancy, you rock! Fingers crossed you won't regret this! :P

So of course the topic that I bring to you all today is *drumroll* lipstick! Corals has got to be my ultimate Spring/Summer go-to and I somehow always manage to find room in my overflowing lipstick collection for a new coral lippie. The shade is vibrant, fresh, fun to wear and looks very flattering across many people. I generally find corals fitting to whatever makeup I have on or to what outfit I'm wearing, and it never fails to brighten up my overall look. Below are 3 of my favorite ways to rock a coral lipstick...

1. Keep it minimal!

There's no better way to wear a bright coral lipstick than to let it have ALL the attention. Simply add a little blush and mascara (foundation optional), then finish up with your favorite coral lipstick. Easy! The brightness of the shade will naturally take center stage!

Victorian Disco Tutorial: Millennium Falcon

So, who are you? "Han Solo. I'm captain of the Millennium Falcon."
And what is the Millennium Falcon? "It's the ship that made the Kessel Run in less than twelve parsecs." Must be impressive. Of course, not everyone thinks so.
[Referring to the Millennium Falcon] "What a piece of junk!"-Luke Skywalker

Ah, the Millennium Falcon. The awesome spacecraft that Han Solo wins in a card game. Han Solo commands it with his companion Chewbacca. Han Solo is my favorite Star Wars character, so the Millennium Falcon has had a special place in my heart ♥ *cough*geek*cough
Here is the look I created using Victorian Disco Cosmetics ^_^ It is a little similar to my last look VD look...oh well.

Nicole by OPI 'Back to Reality...TV'

You might have seen the Nicole by OPI Kardashian collection from Walmart, but I didn't realize that CVS had one as well. I went to CVS to pick up some essentials and I came across a display for this collection. Only one color caught my eye, 'Back to Reality...TV'. It is GORGEOUS! But I almost didn't want to buy it. Why? Because I dislike the Kardashians. Very much. LOL. But I ended up buying it anyways.
I mean, look at it! It just screams my name! Sinful Colors has a similar looking shade called 'Zeus', but I haven't been able to find it :(

China Glaze Capital Colors: 'Harvest Moon'

Ah yes the very anticipated Capital Colors collection is here! I received the colors I ordered not that long ago, even though I had pre-ordered them. Harvest Moon was at the top of my list. It looked stunning! And I am very glad I bought it.

Price: Eh it kind of depends. I've seen these range from $3-$7
Color: Bright Metallic Copper. To me, it seems that it leans to the orange side.
Formula: Goes opaque in two coats, dries fairly quickly. It didn't stain my nails nor was it difficult to remove.

Excuse the dent. I was in a rush :O

Verdict
I think this is an outstanding color! It is copper, yes, but it is a very bright and very metallic copper! I love the name and the concept of this shade very much. The formula is workable and well, it is a stand out in the collection. I really have nothing to complain about with this one!

Rating: 10/10
I have a couple of other colors to swatch, and I will post them up in due time.
Will you be picking up any shades from this collection?

New Domain?

Hello!
I have been thinking about this for a while, but I have now leaped forward and have purchased my own domain. There seems to be a configuration period for it though, and I don't want weird things to happen on my blog especially since my giveaway ends in two days. Once it ends, I will make the change official.

My domain will be www.DarkSideofBeauty.com
This is so exciting for me! :D
Thank you all so much for sticking with me for this past year. I feel so blessed and so lucky to have people who even care about what I have to say. So from the bottom of my heart, thank you!

Pokemon Series: Vileplume

Here is my third Pokemon inspired look. This time I wanted to recreate a Vileplume look. When I was younger, I loved Vileplume. I though it was so cute! I still do of course. I wasn't sure how it was going to go, so I didn't take pictures of the process. But I hope you guys like it :)

I have done Espeon, Umbreon, and now Vileplume.

Products Used
EYES
-ELF Eyelid Primer
-MAC Goldmine, Chrome Yellow, and Passionate pressed eyeshadows
-Wet n Wild white pencil eyeliner
-Coastal Scents 88 palette (a dark blue and purple for the lower lash line)
-Dolly Wink liquid and pencil liner
-Artistry mascara
-KKCenterhk ES A655 Lashes
-Lime Crime Nymph
FACE and LIPS
-Lioele Triple the Solution BB Cream
-NARS Sin Blush
-MAC Flaunt It Kissable Lip Color

This was pretty easy. I mixed Chrome Yellow and Goldmine to get the color on my lid. I then used an angled brush to apply Passionate on the crease in a cut-crease style. Then I used a fluffy brush to blend passionate up higher. Once I  was content to how the reddish pink color looked, I took a white liner and made little ovals on the red. I Applied a blue/purple color on the lower lash line as well as black on the waterline. Then I completed the look by adding liquid liner, mascara, and lashes.

Here I added Lime Crime's Nyphm over the white spots to add a gold sheen to them.

On the picture on the left I looked very confused...LOL!

I actually really liked how it looks. Although I would not wear this unless I was going somewhere where heavier makeup would be okay....like a makeup event or Pokemon convention of some sort. Definitely not an everyday wear kind of look ;)

Make sure to checkout the other look on the Shiro Cosmetics FB page :)
