October Hits and Misses

Hello Dark Siders!

It's that time again: Hits and Misses time! I have a lot of things to share, so I  will try to quickly go over the products I've loved this month and the ones that I didn't really like all that much. I have some oldies and some newer products to share, so stick around and find out about products that might interest you :)

                                                                                  HITS

1. MAC Viva Glam Gaga Lipstick
This is an oldie, and I have held onto this lipstick for dear life! This is just the most perfect bubblegum pink color. It is not too bright or too crazy. It is a Lustre finish so it is opaque but it is still a bit glossy and hydrating. There is not that much left of it, but I have been using it a lot this month. I really like this type of pale pink! It is too bad this is no longer available :(

2.Wet n Wild 'sugar Plum Fairy' Lipstick
One of my most recent purchases and it is quickly becoming one of my favorites! It is an inexpensive lipstick but has a really great color payoff and formula. Sugar Plum Fairy is a magenta toned plum (and sometimes even looks like an oxblood color). Because it is a bold color, it can leave a stain on your lips (which I really like). It can be hard to apply this color evenly, so it is best to wear it with a lip liner.

3. Illamasqua 'Boost' Lip Gloss
More on this lip gloss later since I will have a review and giveaway for this gorgeous lippie! But just look at it! It is such a gorgeous color~ And it smells like bubblegum :D Love it!

4. Shiro Cosmetics 'This Is Halloween' Lip Gloss
Another wonderful lip gloss that smells amazing! This lip gloss smells like a bakery during fall/winter. It is more like a liquid lipstick than a lip gloss in terms of pigmentation, but it still has the great sheen of a lip gloss.

 5. Maybelline Color Tattoo 'Bad to the Bronze'
This bronze cream eyeshadow has been my go-to this month. I love all the Color Tattoos because they stay put on my lid and don't crease. They are also super easy to apply and just throw on. I have been really busy this month, so it is essential to have a go-to look. This is just easy for everyday, appropriate for work, and is still really pretty on the eyes~

6. Shiro Cosmetics 'Moon Prism Power' Eyeshadow
First of all, it is Sailor Moon. I mean, seriously. Who can deny that? Sailor Moon is one of my many favorite anime, but it speaks to me even more because it is the only "girly" anime I really watched as a kid. This eyeshadow, like the senshi, is magical and gorgeous! It makes for a beautiful highlight shade~ This eyeshadow was limited edition, but due to its popularity, it will come back in December.

7.MAC Coygirl Blush
One of my favorite blushes from MAC, Coygirl is a matte purple-toned pink. It is great for fall/winter because it has purple undertones, but it is not too purple so it is great for everyday wear. The matte finish also makes it great for everyday wear since it will be more appropriate-looking in contrast to blushes that have shimmer. I've been wearing it a lot to work and to school~

8. Lioele Super Gold Snail  BB Cream
This is the only BB cream or foundation I have used since I received it. I love it because it is light, yet offers really great coverage. It has SPF50 and it is hydrating. Perfect for me right now since my skin has become really dry this past week!

9. My go-to makeup look for October
In the picture below, I am wearing four of my monthly favorites: Lioele BB Cream, Maybelline 'Bad to the Bronze' Color Tattoo, MAC 'Coygirl' Blush, and a touch of the Wet n Wild 'Sugar Plum Fairy' lipstick.  This look is just easy. I am not a morning person, so when I have to get up early I am very lazy with my makeup. This is easy to do every morning. I thrown on my BB cream, the cream eyeshadow, some mascara, some blush, and a touch of lipstick. It takes me no more than 4 minutes, and it is makes me presentable for work.

                                                                       MISSES

I don't want to go into too much detail, but basically all of my misses have been blushes this month. I've been trying to shop my stash these past two weeks, so I started using some of my more neglected products. That is how I came to decided that I do not like the ELF 'Candid Coral' and 'Mellow Mauve' blushes, the Sonia Kashuk 'Rosey' Creme Blush, or the Hard Candy Fox in a Box in 'Smooth Talker'. They are all powdery with not much pigmentation. I like the color of most of them (except for Mellow Mauve), I just don't like the texture of any of them. The Sonia Kashuk Blush has a weird texture and I hate how it feels on my skin! I don't know if I will keep these blushes in my makeup collection since they take up space and they are somewhat old now.

Thank you for reading ♥
And I hope you had an amazing October!
