Review+EOTD: Meilasu Purplish Red Creme Eyeshadow Provided by KKCenterhk

Hello!~ Another product that was sent to me by KKCenterhk was this creme shadow by the brand Meilasu. I have never heard of this brand, so I was very excited to try a new brand out. I chose this color because it reminded me a lot of Illamasqua's lipstick in 'Underwold', which is a pink/purple with a strong blue duo-chrome.

Packaging

The packaging is pretty, and very simple. It comes in a clear jar, that is small and has a good amount of weight to it. The lid is screw on, which I personally find annoying. Sometimes, the cap won't screw on right and its a hassle. But I guess I am just weird like that. The smallness of the jar makes it very easy to store though.

Product Review
The texture of this is kind of odd. I was expecting a creme eyeshadow, but this has a slight mousse texture. It feels very smooth and silky, almost like a primer. But be very careful of using this. Because of the formula, I recommend setting this with another eyeshadow or just a translucent powder to make sure it won't crease.

The color was something that also surprised me. I was expecting something much more purple, but it is actually a lot more pink than purple. The blue duo chrome is there, so I was very content with the color. I also find that this color is very close to my Coastal Scents 'Chameleon Violet' Mica, so they go perfect together. Also, when swatched, it had some very fine silver glitter. Its very subtle, but I like it a lot :)

~Maybelline the Falsies mascara

How to Achieve this Look:
1. Apply your primer
2. Apply 'She Who Dares' or any green shade on the lid, crease, and on the  lower lash line (except for inner corners of the lower lash line)
3.Apply the Meilasu creme shadow past the crease in a defined line (Don't blend it too much)
4. Apply the Meilasu creme shadow on the inner corners and slightly on the lower lash line
5. Apply the CS Mica to set the Meilasu creme shadow
6. Draw a thin line on your upper lash line using liquid liner
7. Mascara

DONE~ ♥

Verdict:
I really love this color, specially because it goes so well with my CS Mica. I wish the formula was a little better, because it feels like it creases really easy. I will still use it though :D I think next time I will apply the Pixie Epoxy on the areas I apply the Meilasu creme shadow. I think that will help.

Review: Biore Deep Cleansing Pore Strips

Hello Lovelies ♥ Hope you all are having a great week~ So I want to start doing more skin care posts, specially because I have been asked by some of you to do more skin care posts. So I will dedicate every Wednesday to skin care~ I hope you guys will enjoy these posts :D Give me your feedback on this idea please!

I just finished my first box of Biore Pore Strips. So its the perfect time to do a review on them!

Price and Availability
 $7.79 per box. I got it cheaper because there was a sale going on.
I purchased these at my local Rite Aid, but you can buy them at local drugstores or online.

Product Review
These are the only pore strips I have ever used, but I can say that they work very well. If you use one or two every week you should get great results. But keep in mind that these cleanse you pores, but it does not mean that it will get rid of visible pores. It does not tighten pores, so don't expect them too. What you could do if use these together with a pore cleansing/tightening mask. You will get even better results that way. YOu can also use a product that will help to minimize pores.
Another thing to keep in mind, is that you should use these constantly. If you stop using them, of course you will get congested pores again.
Also, know that these will help to clean your pores, but that you have to use this in harmony with your other skin care products. If your pores aren't clean, don't say that these didn't work for you. Maybe your moisturizer/cleanser/foundation/ect. is congesting your pores.


How I Use Them
What I have been doing is using Mario Badescu's Silver Powder as a mask on my nose. After 10 minutes, I rise it off and then use the pore strip. By using a mask that cleanses your pores, it helps all the gunk in your pores to come to the surface. Then when you use the nose strip, it will cleanse it out more effectively. This has worked very well for me. But now I ran out of the pore strips so I have to purchase more!

Do you see how gross it looks? Yuck!

Verdict
I highly recommend these. They work really well and over all they are not that expensive. I think I paid $5 for the 14 strips. I want to try the Boscia Pore Strips but I think I will still purchase another box of these. :D

Harry Potter Series: Ravenclaw

When I do my eye makeup, I never really know what I am doing. I don't plan ahead on the placement of my eyeshadows, so my eye looks always depend on how I feel the moment I am applying my makeup. So today I was getting ready to apply my eyeshadow, and I grabbed a bunch of different eyeshadows.I ended up with blues on my eyelid, but somehow ended up with a bronze eyeshadow on my lower lash line. At first I didn't like it, but after a little while I started to grow very fond of it. Blue with bronze really reminds me of Ravenclaw from Harry Potter because their house colors are blue and bronze. I  love the name Ravenclaw! I guess its because crows are my favorite animals, next to dinosaurs that is :D

~ELF 'Eyelid Primer'
~Fyrinnae 'Pixie Epoxy'

How to Achieve this Look:

1. Apply a primer all over your lid. I used the ELF primer and the Pixie Epoxy.
2. Apply Alluvium on the lid. Do not go past the crease.
3. Apply 'Midna' on the crease, blending it in with 'Alluvium' that was on the lid .
4. Apply the matte brown color from the 'Vanity' palette above 'Midna' in order to blend that color and also to transition into the highlight color.
5. Apply the matte white in the 'Vanity' palette as a brow highlight.
6. Apply the shimmery bronze color from the 'Vanity' palette on the lower line line.
5. Apply liquid liner and mascara.

My Beauty Diary Reviews: Apple Polyphenol Mask

Hello Reader! Happy 4th of July~

One of my favorite My Beauty Diary masks is the Apple Polyphenol Mask~

Why are you falling off, Mr. Mask?

 And excuse the ugliness. Of course I am not wearing makeup! And my hair is a mess.

 According to the My Beauty Diary website this mask's main purpose is:

~moisturizing, smoothing, firming
~for use on normal skin
~recommended for skin with enlarged pores

Some Main Ingredients: 

Roselle Acid
~removes dead skin cells
~Improves and prevents enlarged pores
Hyaluronic Acid
~stimulates synthesis of collagen
~Improves skin's firmness and resilience
Gentle Nano
~AHA's prolong pore-contracting effects


The Good
The very first thing I noticed was the smell. I personally loved the smell; it was a candy-ish apple smell. It was very pleasant, and not too overwhelming.
The mask itself felt very nice on the skin. It was tad bit cooling (not as cooling as the Cooling Mask). Afterwards, my skin felt very smooth and moisturized. I feel that it did help my pores seem slightly smaller, but only for a couple of days. With the constant use of this mask, it would probably help with pore size.

The Bad
The worst thing about this mask (and it really isn't a big deal) is that it is by far the driest MBD mask I have used. It has very little essence in the pouch. I wish it had more. That said, the mask isn't dry, it is merely the driest of all the masks. It still is very moist.
And for some reason, this mask would not stick to my face as well as the other masks. It would constantly slip off my face!

Verdict
 I would definitely purchase this mask again. It smelled great, and worked very well. Constant use of this mask should produce positive effects on the skin.

Review + EOTD: Love Alpha Coppery Frozen Jelly Provided by KKCenterhk

Hey guys! I have been really busy with a couple of things lately, mostly with the fact that I got my first tattoo ever. The tattoo makes it hard for me to type right now, but more on that later...
So sorry if I haven't been as active as usual on blogger!

KKCenterhk was kind enough to send me a this product, which really peaked my interest. It is an eyeshadow, but it has a jelly texture. I have never encountered anything like this, and I must say it is really weird but awesome at the same time.

Price and Shipping
This is 10g for $3.30. These are super affordable and come in different colors.
These products come from Hong Kong, but they were delivered really quickly. It took only about a week! I was really impressed.

Packaging
Probably my favorite thing about this product is the jar it comes in. The jar looks extremely similar to the Jill Stuart eyeshadow packaging! But Jill Stuart is extremely expensive, and these are really affordable. I like the fact that I can pretend I have a Jill Stuart eyeshadow jar...Haha. I am so pathetic! But anyways, the jar is super adorable, and although the product itself is not affected by the packaging, cute packaging is an added plus.

Product Review
The product, like I said before, has a sort of jelly-like consistency. It is really cool because it feel like non-sticky jelly.. It dries quickly and does not leave a dry and tight feeling on the eyelid. Because of its jelly consistency, the color is not very opaque. In fact it is quite sheer, but it has a lot of sparkle and dimension in color which makes up for its sheerness. This type of product is best suited to be applied over other colors. And that is what I have been doing.
The color I chose is the Copper one. It looks like a coppery-gold with a very slight orange and green duo-chrome. I really love the color and the uniqueness of this product.

EOTD

I used the same look that I wore on my ELF Eyelid Primer review, and I just put some of this on my eyelid to top off the look. I love how this product made my neutral look completely different!

Verdict

This is a very cool product, and I am actually super happy with it. It is not very pigmented, but it has varying dimensions of color. The shimmer in this is also very subtle, so it is more wearable than other eye shimmers or glitters. I definitely want to try more of these and see how those work. I love to try new things, and if you are the same as me, you should look into this product!

Sinful Colors 'Star Fish'

Since I am giving away the Adventure Island collection by Sinful Colors, I wanted to at least swatch a couple of colors from the collection. The first color I have used is 'Star Fish.' This is supposed to be a dupe for OPI's 'Sparrow Me the Drama', which I do not own, so I can't say for sure if it is. But here is what 'Star Fish' looks like.

Star Fish: Is a dusty, dirty medium pink. The theme is similar to that of the OPI collection which was dirty pastel colors. I love the fact that this is not an obnoxious pepto pink. It is very wearable because of its dusty-colored nature.

Formula:
Went opaque in two coats. This polish is very opaque! I am very impressed. Once coat is a little streaky so 2 would be best. I had this one for a couple of days and I really love it!
