Tutorial: Artoo Girl

Greetings from the Dark Side ♥

Being super obsessed with both makeup and Star Wars means that those two categories sometimes come together to create some super geeky makeup. I was inspired by my latest acquisition of the Black Milk Artoo Dress and created this R2-D2 makeup to go with my dress. This look is super fun and I loved it! It is perfect for parties and for comic/anime/geeky conventions ^_^ If you want to know how I created this look, then stick around and let your inner geek jump with glee at the sight of this!

OOTD: Maroon Jeggings and Spiked Litas

Hello :)

Here is a very rare OOTD from me. I am not huge on fashion, mostly because I am not good at putting outfits together. And for the most part, I like to wear band tees and rcoker-ish clothes. But since I haven't done an OOTD in so long, I thought I would share some badly taken photos :D I also wanted to show you guys how I wore my brand new Jeffrey Campbell Spiked Litas. Thes are by far the most expensive shoes I have ever purchased. I have never spent more than $60 on shoes, so these were quite a splurge. They were a small treat to myself now that I started my last year of University. I will make some other outfits with these. I understand if paying almost $200 for these, there are plenty of cheaper alternatives.

I purchased these in a size 7.5 from Urban Outfitters. I am usually a 7.5/8 and the 7.5 fits perfectly. They are quite comfortable, as other people have mentioned.

FOTD: May the Fourth Be With You

Happy Star Wars Day everyone! Hope you are having a great day. I am enjoying this day by watching the original Star Wars trilogy~
Not my image. Found on Google search.

In light of this awesome "holiday", I decided to go full out Star Wars geek today. I took my Darth Vader backpack to school, put on my Darth Maul shirt, my Star Wars belt, my Galactic Empire earring, and of course, use my VDC Star Wars themes eyeshadows!

Eye Looks

I had to different looks on today. First this simpler one for when I went to school.

I used: VDC 'Lightsaber', 'The Force, Use It', 'Do the Jabba, Jabba', a matte black, mascara, and liquid liner.

Then this slightly altered look for the evening. I added UD Chase eyeshadow in the inner corner, and some Elise235 Lashes with a bit more liquid liner.

You guys always reprimand me for having crappy full faced shots xD I know, I know. It is really hard for me to take full faced shots with my camera because it is so heavy! The super HD quality also emphasizes all of my imperfections, namely my crappy skin/acne scarring that I am still trying to heal up. And I don't like photoshopping pictures, even though it makes them look better. But I am trying to improve this, so here is my attempt at some full face shots with my Canon~ Mind my crappy skin and such. I was in a hurry to do my makeup!

Products Used (Face & Lips)

-Lioele Triple the Solution BB Cream
-MAC Eversun Blush
-MAC 'Stereo Rose' MSF
-Australis Color Inject Lip Gloss 'Disco'

This is the short I wore today~!

I am so happy today! Thank you to all you, my lovely readers and followers. I don't know what I would do without you guys. I hold a very special place for my blog and for all of you within my heart. So, thank you! From the very bottom of my heart ♥
Have a lovely weekend!

OOTD: Date Night and Betsy Johnson

Hello~ Sorry for my absence! I have a small dilemma at the moment with my memory card. I haven't been able to take pictures D:<
But I do have this outfit I wore last weekend to a date-ish kind of thing. I am not going to lie, I just kind of threw the outfit together at random. It was cold outside, but I wanted to wear something a little different.
I am NOT that fashionable, so excuse my lack of fashion advise.

OOTD: Give Me More Lace

Hello everyone~ Christmas is just around the corner! I have been busy buying presents and making plans for Christmas day! But I thought I should post about the outfit I wore today when I went shopping. It was really sunny outside, so I wore a skirt. Turns out it was really windy and cold outside, at 38 degrees Farenheit which is cold for a sunny California day. I didn't want to take off my skirt so I just wore a warm coat~ I hope you like teh outfit :D Remember I suck at being fashionable ^_^

I don't think you can see it well, but I have this super cute Hello Kitty purse! xD
 White Coat: Marshalls
Lace Top: Forever 21
Lace Skirt: Forever 21
Belt: Bakers Shoes
Tights: Ugh...Target perhaps?
Shoes: Ross

See in this photo below, how the top and the dress almost look like a dress. The belt also adds to the look of these two separate pieces looking like a dress ^_^
Then I got bored and I tried on these shoes that my aunt had given me a while ago. They are so cute, but a little too tall for casual wear.

So yeah, a lot of lace! Are you seeing a pattern? I love lace! Especially black lace. My other two OOTD have also involved mostly lace. Haha. I hope you liked it anyways. Until next time!

OOTD: Executively Sultry

The day that I cannot blog is a sad day indeed. I didn't post yesterday, and to me it feels like I haven't posted in forever. I can finally start to do the posts I promised you guys, since I have two days off for Thanksgiving (Happy Thanksgiving by the way!). I will start with this OOTD featuring the lace dress from Karmaloop. This was a gift from my dad, which was a great surprise to me since he isn't very keen on presents and I didn't think he payed attention when I told him I wanted this dress.
You can find the dress HERE:

I call this "Executively Sultry" because on one hand it can look very nice and put together when worn under a jacket or blazer. If you take off the jacket/blazer, it will be a very sexy top/dress. I use this dress as a top as well because it is relatively really short!

OOTD: Cold Weather

Hi Loves!

I have never done an Outfit of the Day post. Never. I was a little hesitant to show you guys my outfit, because I am not necessarily the most fashion conscious person. I love my band/geeky t-shirts, and only occasionally do I dwell outside of my comfort zone. When it comes to more feminine clothes, I tend to prefer clothes with lace and really anything that is black. I like pieces that are cute, but that are still a little dark. Of course that is to be expect from The Dark Side of Beauty, right? Let's get right into it then~ Sorry if my photos are a little awkward! I wasn't really sure how to photograph my outfit very well, but I will work on that. Also can we stop and talk about the color of my bathroom wall? My walls are painted a light sage green, and on the photos it looks like the most disgusting soup green I have ever seen. We shall ignore that!
I wore this outfit when I went shopping to the Outlet Mall in Vacaville, CA. It was very cold outside and it was raining!

OOTD:

Here is the outfit for the most part. I am wearing a very warm 3/4 sleeved coat from Forever 21, a lace dress from Macy's, and thick grey tights.
