Review: Tokidoki Robbery Palette Part 1

Part 1: Neutral Palette

 Cover of the palette
The colors

This palette constains:
~Lian Pappa: metallic bronze
~Savana:  yellow, metallic gold
~ Ercolino: reddish, metallic copper
~Bulletto: dark,shimmery,  chocolate brown
Royal Pride: shimmery gold terracotta 'bronzer' [But you could use it as a blush, or if you are darker, as a highlight]

Swatches:
[Left to Right]: Lion Pappa, Savana, Ercolino, and Bulleto
[Left to Right]: Lion Pappa, Savana, Ercolino, and Bulleto
Swatch above the eyeshadows: Royal Pride Bronzer

PROS:
~If you love shimmery neutrals, then this is a great palette. My favorite colors are Ercolino and Buletto.
~ I actually really like the bronzer. It reminds me of MAC Trace Gold blush. It is maybe slightly more pigmented and more terracotta colored than Trace Gold, though.
~Very smooth
~Can be applied to be very pigmented or you can apply it sheer.
~The blush/bronzer goes very well with this palette.

CONS:
~Can have a lot of fallout if you are not careful
~The palette has no matte colors, so if you are planing to travel and want to do wearble eye looks, you might have to take another palette or eyeshadow with you. You don't want to use too many of these colors together, since they are all shimmery and metallic, and pretty pigmented. You don't want to look like a glitter ball, especially not for work.
~I do not see this as functioning as an independent palette. Palettes usually contain a highlight color, and maybe a crease color as well. And this does not.

Thanks for reading and stay tuned for Part 2 & 3!
What do you guys think of this palette?

Overview: Tokidoki Robbery Palette

Before anything, I want to take a moment to send my prayers to all those affected by yesterday's earthquake and tsunami in Japan. It was a very shocking event, and I hope that other people will not be affected by any more tsunamis. We are currently on a tsunami alert here is the west coast, and I am praying that nothing will occur here. May God help everyone, especially those who have lost their lives.
地震のひがいはひどかったんです。

Leaving the sadness behind...

Hi!! What a wonderful Friday it is [Would have been better if the earthquake had not occurred...]! I have no school today, so I will take this opportunity to do this review.
I got this palette from Sephora for about $36 [not too sure how much it was. It was on sale and I have a 10% discount] and it is still available at Sephora. I know that QVC also has the palette for $10 less than Sephora.

This is only a view of the palette as a whole, and I will do a separate post for the actual palettes and for the swatches.  If I did it all together, the post will be super long. I will add links to the other posts.

The tin comes with a magnet. It is so pretty!
If you open the tine, you find a small mirror, and three separate palettes inside.
These are the individual palettes.
If you remove the palettes, you will see that the bottom of the tin has pictures as well.

Each palette contains four eyeshadows and a blush/highlight/contour.
Here are all three palettes...
The pictures on top of the palette match the pictures on the tin.

Overall, I think this palette is great. You get a wonderful deal for 12 eyeshadows and 3 blushes. The packaging is cute and convenient, because you can take one palette with you instead of having to take the whole entire tin. As I will mention in the other posts, I find that the colors are great, but the palettes, for me, do not function independently. They do not contain matte shadows for one. Most palettes will have a highlighting shade, a crease color, and a darker color for the outer 'V.' I feel that these palettes serve more for using one or two colors in the palette in conjunction with other palettes, or separate eyeshadows. This is not a huge problem for me, but some other people might find it to be an inconvenience, especially people who travel.

Here is a link to swatches and a detailed review on each separate palette within the Robbery Palette:

Quick Update and The Upcoming

Hey guys! I hope you are all doing well and are having marvelous makeup experiences. I am currently bombarded with school material and I have finals next week :( I am rushing through all the things I need to do, and I am hoping my finals will show me some mercy. I will not be posting much in the next week, since my priority is school, but I am hope to post some reviews tomorrow and on the weekend.

I will be posting a review of Tokidoki's Robbery palette tomorrow.
Then I might post a haul, and review of some products I currently bought.

Some exciting news, which of I will do a separate post during my spring break. I made two pretty big orders on Shiro Cosmetics, which is this amazing store on Etsy that sell Pokemon and Zelda inspired pigments. I should get them, hopefully, during my spring break. I am really excited to see them and use them.

Another awesome purchase was the purchases I made from Fyrinnae [I think their website is closed at the moment, too many orders perhaps?]! I am super duper excited for this! I wanted to make this order about 2 weeks ago, but their website was down due to one of the staff being gone. There is currently only one person managing the orders, so they close their website to slow down the flow of orders. I managed to make an order a couple days ago, and I am glad I did. They seem to have closed their website down again. This will take a while to arrive, but whenever it does I am excited to show you!

I finally received my order of Rock & Republic as well! Swatching time!

The last exciting thing is that I will be purchasing a new camera in two weeks, so I will b able to show you guys better quality pictures! I am also going to San Francisco and a coupe other places during spring break so I will have pictures and some hauls to post~

Thank you all for reading, and I will be back as soon as possible!

Some Random Amazing Photos

Hola amigos!~ [Yes, I speak Spanish. Fluent. Random Fact.]

I wanted to share with you all some random pictures from my life. There are of a couple places I have been this past year. I found these pictures on my brother's phone, and I stole them from him and I just wanted to show them. They are random, but awesome pictures~

Guess where this is? I am sure you will see from the next picture...

Well? It is the Golden Gate bridge as seen from below! These pictures where taken while fishing in the Bay. Can you see how long the bridge is?!

This one is my favorite picture. It is so beautiful! You can really see the red/orange color of the bridge. I looks like a very eerie picture. I love it!

From the other side of the bridge...

Its kind of hard to see, but that little island right there is Alcatraz. And also a seagull preparing to strike ;)

Next we go to San Diego!

This was a shop that had a bunch of cool things. And the most amazing thing was that they has this mammoth tusk! It is huge. But look carefully, and you can see that the tusk has been carved! This was on sale for about a couple hundred thousand dollars. Actually I dont remember how much it was exactly, but it was a lot. But it is stunning! Carved ivory right there!

Close up of the carvings. It is ALL carved out.

Hope you enjoyed seeing some random photos~

Review: Tokidoki Mascaras

Hi beauties~
I am going to do a slightly rushed review of my Tokidoki mascaras.  The reason this will be rushed is because I have finals next week and I have a lot of studying to do, but I wanted to at least post something up.
So anyways, I have two of their mascaras, and these were my first purchase from the Tokidoki cosmetic line.

So here are the two mascaras. Like most of the Tokidoki products, they come in a plastic box with tons of cute pictures.
I have the blue one and the green one [Kind of obvious from the picture...but okay... ;D]
Close up of the drawings on the tube. As always super cute.
Here you can see the names of each mascara.
The blue one is called 'Baby Rocker' and the green is 'Mad Rocker.'

You can see that the bristles are small and that they are the plastic bristles.

PROS:
~Great color pay off, much better than any other color mascara I have tried.
~Does not clump on my eyelashes
~lengthening

CONS:
~Expensive for a mascara at $18 [Do not purchase if you are not planning on using it often, they are mascara, and they will go bad after a while]
~Best layered over anther mascara, since it does not give your lashes any volume.

I could not get a good picture to show you guys a swatches of these. If you are curious how they look on your eyelashes, either go to Sephora and try them out. I will try to get some good pictures and post them later.

Thanks for reading! Anyone else have finals so soon? I hate the quarter system!

Current Favorite Find: Wet N Wild Palettes

I am sure all of you guys have heard of these and seen them in tons of posts already, but they really do deserve the hype they get. It has been really hard to find these though, I barely managed to find them last week at a Walgreens. The 8 pan palettes are $5, and the trios are $3 (it can vary depending on where you live and where you buy them)!! Not only are they cheap, but the quality on these is amazing!! The are silky smooth, and extremely pigmented.

CON: I have one negative thing to say about these though. Because they are so smooth and soft they...
~Break easily!

I already managed to break the beautiful taupe color in the trio 'Silent Treatment' :(
The good news is I have a backup :D

If you can get your hands on these, do it! You really have nothing to lose. If you will only buy one, I recommend getting 'Comfort Zone.' It is a nice neutral palette, it will be the most useful. I don't tend do gravitate towards neutrals, but this one was the one that stood out to the me most. The blue palette 'Blue Had Me At Hello' is okay. The colors are nice, but not as unique as the other two. If you love blues, it might suit you, but personally I was not 'wowed' by the color choices.

That is all for today, thanks for reading!

Reiew: YSL Rouge Volupte #29 'Opera Rose' and swatches

I am sure everyone has heard of the greatness that is the YSL Rouge Volupte. I only own one, but I am in love with it! There are expensive, so I don't have the liberty of owning more :(
Oh well...okay onto the pictures!

 Amazing packaging, right?

 PROS:
~This is a really nice bright color, that does not look too obnoxious. It the sophisticated bright color.
~These smell really good, like watermelon.
~The formula is smooth and moisturizing.
~Beauuuutiful packaging, so luxurious!

CONS:
~Not long lasting
~Can bleed outside the lip line
~Expensive
~Runs out fast

What colors do you guys recommend? I am thinking of purchasing one or two more in the future.
