Greetings friends!
If you have seen any of my looks, you might see a pattern. I love both very dark and very bright eye looks. I am particularly fond of smokey eyes because they look super badass. This can be traced back to my high school days when I only wore black eyeliner and black eyeshadow. This look is inspired by those Gothic makeup days. But instead of keeping this a plain black smokey eye, I went for a black smokey eye with a slight twist!
This Gilded Goth eye goes from a dark, matte black and fades into a shimmery dark grey. In the inner corners, there is a pigmented gold eyeshadow to bring something lighter and brighter to this dark look. This look is great for a rock concert, a fun night out, or maybe even for a Halloween look!
I will be doing a FOTD with this look soon so you can see what else I pair with this look :D

Gilded Goth Look
All this look has is a black eyeliner base on the lid with a matte black eyeshadow over it. Then I used a dark grey in the crease and blended the matte black out. Blend it up as high as you are comfortable with. Then, I applied some of the grey on the lower lash line with an intense gold in the inner corner.
How beautiful and grungy goth! Love it. :D
ReplyDeleteI like this one a lot! Not too many looks with gold for goths, and you always have such clean lines on your eyemakeup. Thanks for sharing this with us.
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous! I used to be goth, too so I did the eyeliner/black eyeshadow thang, too. :)
ReplyDeleteI don't think I've ever worn black eyeshadow so predominantly on my lids, but this looks amazing! I love the gold accent too, really makes you appreciate the black and vice versa!
ReplyDeleteI. LOVE. THIS. I'm a huge smokey eye fan, as well. May try to recreate this, myself
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous! I love the hint of gold. Very different.
