FOTD: OCC 'Beta' and 'Starling' Lip Tars

Greetings from the Dark Side~

If you have been reading my most recent posts, you might see that I have hauled quite a number of new products. And I haven't even shown you my Black Friday/Cyber Monday hauls yet (I want to wait until I get ALL of my purchases before I blog about them). Because of all that, I have many new products to try and to review. I was the most excited about trying out the OCC Lip Tars, so I want to show you how I used both of the colors I purchased: Beta and Starling.

I kept the eye makeup very neutral and quite simple. I am wearing colors from the Wet n Wild 'Vanity' Palette, liquid liner, and mascara.

BETA

STARLING

I've only worn these two a few times, but I absolutely love both of them. I cant believe I had not tried them by now! I will definitely think about buying a couple other shades!

Do you like Beta or Starling better? Is there any Lip Tars you have tried that you would recommend?

  2. Those Lip colors are so pretty. *_* Personally I think Beta looks better with that eye makeup but its a close race between the two.

  4. Aw mannnn, I wish I would've waited to place my order with OCC. I didn't know how beta would look on, so I passed on it. Looks so pretty on you, maybe I'll grab one next time.

  7. Wow beta looks really nice, how easy is it to wear? Does it come off? I've never tried a lip tar, but I read about them and they seem to be very pigmented so the tiniest amount must be applied for it to look nice.

Oh, and do they pick up on dryness? My lips struggle to not look flakey and a lot of lip products make that look worse.

    1. I have only used it 2-3 times. I still have to use it more to get a better idea of how these products wear. It applied very easily though.I have very dry lips right now and these faired very well, actually. Just to be safe, you should moisturize before applying them! They don't dry completely, so they didn't make my lips feel dry. They also have a really great staying power. I will use them a bit more and have a proper review for these though. I'll make it a priority though since many people are really curious about these!
