Affordable Holiday Makeup (Ft. Wet n Wild)

Holiday greetings from the Dark Side!

Do you want a glamorous holiday makeup look without breaking your budget? Well, don't fret because I have a super easy and affordable holiday makeup look for you today. Obviously, you can wear whatever makeup you want for holiday parties/dinners, but if you want to get a red lip/neutral eye look that is great for all your holiday outtings, then keep on reading :D

                                                                           Breakdown

  1.  The most important part of a standard holiday look (for me anyway) is a bold lip. Investing in a good quality lip color doesn't have to cost a fortune either! I find that the Wet n Wild Fergie Lipstick in the shade 'Saraghina' is a beautiful, pigmented, smooth, and high quality red lipstick. At about $3.49 (more or less depending the store you go to and what discounts/deals are going on), your wallet will certainly thank you. And your lips will certainly be the center of attention~
  2. The next most important step to this look is the eye makeup. I used a few shades (gold, bronze, matte deep brown, and shimmery white) from the 'A Great Glistener' holiday palette. You can find this for $4.99 at Walgreens, but it is limited edition. If you can't find this you can opt for some permanent eyeshadow trios ('I'm Getting Sunburned' and 'Walking on Eggshells') which are $2.99 each. And if you already have some neutral eyeshadows you can use, all the better.
  3. You can also invest lots of money on liquid eyeliners and mascaras. I personally don't like to invest a lot of money on these types of products; I like to buy more affordable drugstore ones. When it comes to affordable makeup, Wet n Wild never lets down. So I used the Wet n Wild MegaLiner liquid liner and MegaPlump mascara for this look.
  4. If cheap mascaras don't give your lashes enough glam, you can always just use false lashes. Ardell is a great and cheap brand for any last minute lash needs! I didn't use any lashes for this look though, and I'll tell you why. Holiday parties often entail drinking. I am scared of losing an eyelash and being too inebriated to notice it and then end up looking like a hot mess! On eyelash on, and one who knows where xD
  5. I'm going to assume most of you already have a foundation/concealer on hand, so you probably wouldn't worry about buying that. If you don't and want to give foundation a try for a special event like a holiday party, the Wet n Wild Coverall powder and cream foundations are quite spectacular. They are very affordable too so you don't have to worry about spending $40-$60 on a foundation just for a few events.
  6. Lastly is the blush and highlighter. Well, if your doing a red lip you might even wan to skip the blush. If you want a subtle blush/hihglighter that is cheap, I suggest the Wet n Wild MegaGlow in 'Catwalk Pink'. It has a nice mixture of brown, gold, and pink do add a subtle glow and color to your cheeks. For $4.29 for both blush and highlighter, it is not bad at all!

Total spent for full makeup look: $30.73
Total Spent without foundation/concealer: $19.75
There you go! If you already have a foundation and concealer to use, you can get an entirely new makeup look under $20 :D

So tell me guys, would you wear this look to a holiday party? If not, what is your ideal holiday makeup look?
