Top 5: Indie Eyeshadows

Greetings from the Dark Side ♥
Hope you are all healthy and happy :)

I haven't posted a "Top 5" post in a while, so I thought I could do a "Top 5" for my favorite indie eyeshadows. Now, I have loads and loads of indie eyeshadows; I am not even joking. I own more than half of the Fyrinnae and Shiro Cosmetics eyeshadows, almost all of the VDC eyeshadows, and bits and pieces from other brands. So as you can imagine picking only 5 is really crazy and insanely difficult for me. But I will do my best and give you a rough idea of the 5 eyeshadows I use often and love most. And remember that this list changes often because I try out new indie eyeshadows on a monthly basis.

*In order from Left to Right:

1. Victorian Disco Cosmetics 'Evenstar' Eyeshadow
I love this eyeshadow soooo much! I am very close to finishing my jar which is totally insane. This is a beautiful iridescent blue with a touch of a magical green duochrome. Photos do not do justice to this eyeshadow. I promise you that this is like a a million times more beautiful in person than it is in any photo. I partularly love using this on the inner corner, as I used it in my Elsa inspired look:

2. Victorian Disco Cosmetics 'My Feels' Eyeshadow
Another favorite is also from VDC. I wasn't expecting to like this eyeshadow so much, but the color really flatters my brown eyes. I love that this is a bright blue but it also has a slight purple duochrome. I used this on my Diablo II:Sorceress look:

3. Shiro Comsetics 'Lingered in Twilight'
Shiro Cosmetics never lets me down and they have provided me with so many beautiful eyeshadows. One of my favorite shades is 'Lingered in Twilight', a black base with gorgeous emerald shimmers. This just has the most beautiful green shimmer. The shimmers are so bright and reflective and the eyeshadow just looks amazing on the lids! I used this shade with some other Shiro eyeshadows in THIS look:

4. Fyrinnae 'Mephisto' Eyeshadow
Fyrinnae is another indie company that absolutely knows how to make amazing eyeshadows. And I know I am no alone when I say that 'Mephisto' eyeshadow is one of the most amazing gems that Fyrinnae has to offer. 'Mephisto' is a deep scarlet with blue, purple, and gold tones. You just never know what color this eyeshadow really is. It is truly amazing! This is one of those colors I worship but don't wear very often. I really should use this more! In fact, the last time I showed it on my blog was way too long ago in THIS New Year's Eve look:

5. Pumpkin & Poppy 'My Precious' Cream Eyeshadow
Last, but certainly not least, I have a cream eyeshadow from one of my favorite indie brands. I first heard of Pumpkin & Poppy when they released their One Ring collection, a collection inspired by The Lord of the Rings. One of my favorite products from that collection is the cream eyeshadow in 'My Precious'. This is a beautiful deep gold with small golden shimmers. It is smooth and pigmented and I just absolutely love it.  I used it along with some other products in that collection in THIS look:

So if you have not noticed yet, three out of the five eyeshadows I chose are Tolkien inspired shades (Evenstar, Lingered in Twilight, and My Precious). That was a complete coincidence, I swear! But I guess I will always love eyeshadows inspired by the mavelous works of J.R.R. Tolkien~

Thank you for reading~ I hope this was helpful to anyone else who also love indie eyeshadows :D

  3. I LOVE Lingered In Twilight. When I was new to Shiro and browsed all her colors, that was the one I knew I had to have. Same went for Mephisto; although it was the name that called out to me first. I'm a big fan of Goethe's Faust, so I really wanted to have a color for Mephisto. After seeing many swatches, my mind was set and finally ordered it when they restocked :)

    1. OMG same here! I read Faust so the name of the color just called out to me. It wasn't until I received the color that I saw how beautiful it was!
