World of Warcraft Series: Alexstrasza

"Life is my Aspect, Dark One, and I, like all mothers, know both the pain and wonders that entails!"

Alexstrasza, the Life-Binder and Dragonqueen, is an "immense dragon...colored a deep, rich red that seems to shimmer and dance before your eyes" (source). For this look, I wanted to use red, purple, and gold as the main colors.

Not my image. Source.

1. On a primed lid, apply a deep vibrant red (Makeup Geek 'Razzleberry' eyeshadow) eyeshadow and a deep purple eyeshadow (Sugarpill 'Poison Plum').

2. With a small crease brush, start to blend the red and purple on the crease.

3. Add a touch of gold eyeshadow (Sugarpill 'Goldilux' pigment) on the inner corner of the eye and blend in into the red.

4. With the same large crease brush, apply a sparkly white with either a pink or red shimmer (Shiro Cosmetics 'Cake' eyeshadow) and blend it on the crease to create a seamless edge to the eyeshadows.

5. With the same brush, apply a matte white on the brow bone (Sugarpill 'Tako' eyeshadow).

6. Apply a black eyeliner (Prestige Total Intensity eyeliner) on the waterline.

7. Apply an iridescent purple (MAC 'Parfait Amour' eyeshadow) on the lower lash line.

8. Make sure all the eyeshadows are blended in really well.

9. Apply liquid liner, mascara and lashes!

10. Finally, apply an amethyst gem on the outer corner of the eye.
