The NARS Creamy Concealer ($29) is a hydrating concealer that comes in tube with a doe-foot applicator. I have heard so many great things about this concealer and I was persuaded by the hype to purchase it. I have used this concealer a few times now and I want to share my thoughts on it! I have the shade 'Vanilla', a yellow-tone for light skin which mathes my skin really well.
Sephora claims this is a "creamy concealer with hydrating, multiaction skincare benefits and light diffusing technology to create a softer, smoother complexion" and NARS claims it is a "Paraben-free, alcohol-free, synthetic fragrance-free, and non-comedogenic." So far, I can say that I 100% agree that this concealer is extremely creamy and hydrating. It is a little thick, but it blends amazingly into the skin. I apply this with my fingers, and I notice that it blends flawlessly into my skin. It has a medium-full coverage but it looks extremely natural on the skin. I have a lot of acne scars on my skin, and this covers them up pretty well. It does not cover them up completely with one layer, but it looks really natural which I prefer over a very caked-up look. Another thing that has really impressed me about this concealer is that although it is very creamy and hydrating, it stays put all day and does not feel greasy or oily! I have used other creamy concealers which feel very thick and greasy on the skin, but this is very lightweight and has a very natural finish. One major pro for this concealer is that it does not break me out (hooray!) so I guess the claim that it is non-comedogenic is true.
Overall, I am extremely pleased! The only con is the price. I was very hesitant to pay $29 for a concealer and I am not sure how I feel about paying $29 every time I run out of a tube. But, I do love the way it looks on my skin. For the time being, I will use this to see if I love it enough to justify the price tag.

I've been eyeing it but been hesitating because of the price. I too, need to cover up my acne scars. Thanks for the review!
ReplyDeleteI'm a big fan of this concealer!
ReplyDeleteI've also read many positive reviews about this concealer (even raving reviews), but the price always puts me off. :( How long do you think will this tube last for you?
ReplyDeleteHonestly I have no idea. I see the tube and my brain freaks out because it feels like it won't last very long. But I really don't need a whole lot of product for my entire face so maybe it will last a while. I am just going to keep using this one and see how long it will last me.
DeleteThis sounds really good, but the price is rather steep for a concealer. >< This one would most definitely be considered a splurge purchase! XD
ReplyDelete29 is a hefty price for that tube! But if it's going to be your secret weapon and you love how it looks, I think that's justifiable enough!
ReplyDeleteWow!!! Its pretty and pricey indeed. But I guess its worth it if it really is a great product.
ReplyDeleteThe fact that it looks natural is selling me on this one! The price tag is a bit much, but I think I could justify it for a nice concealer :)
