Weekly Favorites #1

1. NYX Butter Glosses
My absolute favorite product of this week was the NYX Butter Glosses. These are pigmented, smooth, and not sticky. I haven't been excited by lip glosses in a looooong time, so I was pleasantly surprised by these ones. The one in the picture is 'Peaches and Creme' but I absolutely love all the shades I have. In fact, my favorite of the bunch is actually 'Creme Brulee', a nude shade. I picked up 'Creme Brulee' at the recommendation of one of my favorite Youtube vloggers Claire Marshall, aka HeyClaire. I also used one of these in my Hufflepuff look.

2. Maybelline Master Hi-Light in 'Natural
This is one of the Limited Edition products from the Spring 2014 Maybelline colletion. I am really loving it and it is the only blush I used this week. It is a subtle, natural bronze color that gives the skin a lovely glow. I wore this in a past FOTD.

3. Maybelline Color Tattoo in 'Spice and Sleek'
I am really loving these new Color Tattoos! It is a shame that they are limited edition because they are phenomenal. I swatches all the new shades HERE.

4. L'oreal Voluminous Mascara
I don't think you guys know this, but I have a drawer full of unopened mascaras. I buy a lot of mascaras, but I never have more than two opened mascaras at the same time. So whenever I run out of a mascara, I can just go to my drawer and pick out a new mascara! I decided to try the Voluminous mascara and I actually like it a lot! I've used this mascara before but I don't remember if I liked it or not. This time, I do really like it. I can see what the hype is all about.

5. Milani Brow & Eye Highlighters #01
I have been using this for a little while and I really, really, really love the matte side for the brows. The shimmery side is okay, but not particularly great. The brow side on the other hand is amazing! It really makes the brows look cleaner and more shapely.

6. Lancome Cils Booster XL
I got a sample of this from Sephora last week, and I have been using it under my L'oreal Voluminous mascara. Holy crap, this mascara primer is freaking awesome!! It makes my eyelashes look so long and dramatic! I have never really liked mascara bases, and I sure as hell do not like paying high end prices for mascaras, so I was really surprised that I liked this. I like this so much that I am really considering buying a full size.

7. Pahlish February Duo
I have been really in love with this duo from Pahlish. The colors compliment each other so well. The formulas are amazing, they are easy to apply, and they look fantastic on my nails. You can see swatches HERE.

8. Image Clear Cell Acne Lotion
I went to get a facial in the beginning of January and my aesthetician gave me a sample of the Acne Lotion from the Image skin care line. This lotion is meant to be applied all over the skin, but I have only used it as a spot treatment. It really decreases the size of any pimple overnight! This stuff has helped my skin so much that I think I will end up getting a full size. If you want to see an updated skin routine, let me know in the comments :)

9. Blistex Deep Renewal Balm
I read somewhere that this Blistex balm was a close dupe of the Fresh Sugar Balm. I ended up buying a tube to try it out because I have the worst chapped lips ever! I usually hate drugstore lip products (for example, Chapstique, Carmax, EOS), but I actually think this one is pretty good. My lips actually feel less chapped than usual and I think it is because of this balm~ I don't think it is a dupe for the Fresh balms though. I've used those and they are a bit better than this one. But they are also $22 D:

10. By Terry  Or De Rose Baume Precieux
This lip balm from By Terry was a gift I received some time ago. I've been using it a lot this week though and I really like it. It smells like roses and has the most beautiful pink shimmer. Too bad this stuff is so incredibly expensive! I had this on in my Aurora look.

  1. I have the Milani double-ended highlighter and the matte side is my favorite, too- not a huge fan of the shimmer side. That By Terry lip gloss looks pretty!
