EOTD: Lula Mae (Ft. Pumpkin & Poppy)

Greetings from the Dark Side~

Since I just received the Pumpkin & Poppy Little Black Collection (which is inspired by the movie Breakfast at Tiffany's), I wanted to try out the products really badly. I created this quick and simple look using all the eye products from the collection.

Products Used
-Pumpkin & Poppy 'Beauty Sleep' cream eyeshadow (lid)
-Pumpkin & Poppy 'Divinely Happy' cream eyeshadow (outer corner and lower lash line)
-Pumpkin & Poppy 'Lula Mae' podwer eyeshadow (crease)
-Pumpkin & Poppy 'Little Black Dress' cream liner
-Maybelline Mega Plush mascara

*A little word of advice, either use a primer under the cream shadows, or set them with a powder to keep them from creasing and moving around.  I did not set 'Beauty Sleep' with a primer, powder eyeshadow or with a translucent powder so it turned out a little weird.
*Use a stiffer brush for the cream liner. I used a very flimsy brush and it would not apply the liner opaquely.

  2. The shade is really light but how do you capture it perfectly? Can you make a tutorial on how you take these photos.

    1. Honestly I don't have any fancy set up. I take photos under my bathroom lights (which are just normal light bulbs). If my photos are good at all, then the credit goes to my camera (Canon Rebel T3).

  3. I'm not a big fan of cream shadows as anything outside of a base for powder shadow. But even though the shades are a bit subtle, it still looks quite lovely.

    1. I barely received the set and the look above was my very first time using the products. I think it takes a little time to get to find out the best way to use a product and how it works for you. I can't say how I feel about the products yet, but I will post a re-do for this look cause I think I didn't do a very good job at using the products! I will have reviews for the individual items so if you are curious whether I liked these then look out for those.

    2. I wish it would tell me when you replied to a comment of mine :P I always post comments, then never look back at them. Only saw this cuz I was re-going over your reviews! Yep it seems that there just isn't much payoff for the eyeshadows in this collection compared to mac or UD eyeshadows, or even the victorian disco ones I've been testing out the past few weeks. Compared to the eyeshadows in the LOTR collection at least.

    3. Yeah, I think this was just an overall more soft collection too. I have not shown the blush from the collection, but that one is really great actually!
