Greetings dark siders!
If you saw my post about the NYC Super Hero Chic nail polishes, then you would know that I found this Limited Edition NYC collection at Rite Aid. The most exciting thing about this collection are the LE palettes, especially #003, the 'Super Chica' palette. I swatched these for you who are curious about these. At Rite Aid, they cost me $2.99 each. That's a really great deal for 4 eyeshadows, a primer, and an illuminator! So keep reading for swatches of each of the palettes~
Super Woman comes with a matte white, a satin cement gray, a slightly glittery dark gray, and a black that is matte but has a bit of shimmer.
Super Chica (haha, love the name of this palette!) comes with a frosty yellow-gold, a jewel-toned blue, a matte pink-toned red, and a matte black. The colors are very reminiscent of Snow White!
Below are swatches of the primer and the illuminator. I also swatched the two shimmery black colors next to each other because they looked very similar in the pan. But as you can see they are quite different.
For the sake of all of you who might want to buy these before they disappear from the LE displays, I will give you my current thoughts on these. I'm not going to beat around the bush and just tell you. For $2.99-$5, I think these are a pretty good deal. If you can, buy these from Rite Aid along with the Wellness Card. When I bought the palettes, they cost me $2.99 each instead of the regular $4.99. I also had a $10 reward point coupon, so the total of my purchase was really minimal.
These are not perfect. They don't have the best pigmentation, and you will need to build up the color. But at least they have some good shades like a bright blue, red, matte white, light gray, etc. I don't know, but I am pretty happy to have been able to get these. Maybe it's just the hoarder in me ;)
