Hooray I was able to find the three new Color Tattoos at a Bed, Bath, and Beyond today! Yay!
The Maybelline Gilded in Gold collection includes three new Limited Edition Color Tattoos. All three of these new shades are completely matte. The shades included are Just Beige (yellow toned nude), Nude Pink (dark neutral pink), and Matte Brown (dark espresso brown). I think the point of these is to have three shades that are nude skin-color eyeshadows. These work well on their own or as a base for other eyeshadows.
They retail for $4-6 and are Limited Edition. So pick them up while you can!
And below is a comparison of MAC 'Painterly' Paint Pot next to 'Nude Pink' Color Tattoo.'Nude Pink' is not an exact dupe; it is definitely pinker and darker than 'Painterly'. But, 'Nude Pink' also has a creamier texture than 'Painterly' and I actually prefer the texture of these three new Color Tattoos over Paint Pots and the older Color Tattoo textures.
I also added MAC 'Let's Skate' Pain Pot to show how much darker 'Nude Pink' is.
So much prettyness! When you put eyeshadows over them, do they adhere better/stay on longer/crease less easily/appear more pigmented/etc? Liiike, are there any additional benefits to using them underneath a look?
ReplyDeleteI love them though. I'm so lazy for everyday going-to-school makeup that I could probably wear any one of these, blend out the edges, put on eyeliner & mascara, and be done with eyes :)
Color cream bases will add depth to your eyeshadow and make them look more complex. And in my experience, they will help powder/loose eyeshadows adhere better and stay on longer. But how much help you get from the cream base will depend on the quality of the cream base.
DeleteThese are really good quality color bases and I personally find that they work better as bases, but you can use them alone. When I use one of these under other eyeshadows, I find that I don't have to pack on as much eyeshadow to get a really good pigmentation. I don't have a problem with my eyeshadows creasing when I used these and I think they actually help with creasing. The only problem I do have with these is that they do tend do dry up a bit after a long time. The texture will be a little harder to work with.
I felt that way too but Tough As Taupe did nothing to intensify my look or help it stay longer. Maybe I have werid eyelids, or I didn't let them set long enough...or something in my technique was off. Trust me though, your eyelids are like 15 shades lighter than mine (seriouslyyy), so I'm thinking that I can use Beige & Nude Pink like eyelid brightening bases at least haha.
DeleteWow, they haven't yet been released here. I want all three!
ReplyDeleteI love the shades, I'd take all three. But MAC paint pots look great too...

ReplyDeleteI went to BB&B this past weekend & unfortunately all of these were gone .
I hate how Maybelline only puts like 2 of each shade/product in their displays . It makes it hard to get the products we want , especially if they're limited edition .
Anyways , hopefully they'll start popping up at the drugstores soon .
I need Nude Pink .

I kinda want the matte brown and the just beige one, it would definitely help me bright my eye area in days when i don't want to wear too much makeup :D and the matte brown is so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely. These look really nice on their own!
DeleteAHH they look nice!!
ReplyDeleteI really want them now!!

ReplyDeletelove all three shades...though just beige would be too light in shade for my eyes. i would love to own the matte brown shade. It' perfect!
ReplyDeleteI love the Maybelline color tattoos and these are so pretty too.
ReplyDeleteBeautetude
Nunca usei,mas gostaria de experimentar.
ReplyDeletelove the colors
ReplyDeleteO.k. I haven't tried Maybelline eye shadows for a long time. But, I really want to try these shadows.
ReplyDeleteJust Beige is something I need in my life
ReplyDeleteOhhh I love these colors! I didn't expect them to look this good. I need to find these!
ReplyDeleteDo they last longer than MAC paint pots iyo? Not as in wear time but longevity of product. I know my Painterly paint pot has dried out & is useless now.
ReplyDeleteHm that's hard to say. I've had my Painterly for some time and it definitely has dried up a bit. Some of the Color Tattoos have dried up a bit, but some haven't. I feel like the shimmerier ones have dried up the most.
DeleteDo they last longer than MAC paint pots iyo? Not as in wear time but longevity of product. I know my Painterly paint pot has dried out now & is useless.
ReplyDeleteI can't really say because I have had Painterly for far longer than any of my Color Tattoos, and my Painterly is still growing strong. I think everyone has a different experience with the cream product drying out so it is hard to tell if you get one that dries out fast. I'd say just invest in one shade and see how that works out for you :)
DeleteI like the colors! But the colors tattoos I've had before dried up on me before I got much use out of them so I'm hesitant to buy more.
ReplyDeleteI had the same experience with two of the ones I own. Not all of them dry up though, I think it depends on the shade.
DeleteI think Just Beige would be a gorgeous eyeshadow base!
ReplyDeleteIndeed it would!
Deletewaw che colori stupoendi!*_*
ReplyDeletei've never ever even looked into mac paint pots and i don't know why... do you think they're worth it in general? do they usually have unique colors?
ReplyDeleteHm, it depends. I think if you are going to use the Paint Pot often, then it is worth it. Painterly is something I used a lot, and still use on occasion so it was worth the money. Let's Skate is a beautiful color, but I don't use it very often. I think if you can get good use out of the Paint Pot and there are no cheaper dupes for it, then it might be worth the investment. MAC Paint Pots are really pretty, but the best shades are usually limited edition. You can check out their range and see if any shades pique your interest.
DeleteI want them! Specially matte brown =D
ReplyDeleteI have it and I like it!
ReplyDeleteI want them!! but in Spain there are just a few of them! :)
ReplyDeleteI love the shades! I haven't tried color tattoos yet. Are they long wearing and easy to blend?
ReplyDeleteSo lovely colors!
ReplyDeleteI love the nuances!
Nude Pink is the colour I liked most.
ReplyDeleteI feel I need them all!
