Review: Pahlish All of Space and Time Collection

Greetings from the Dark Side!
And welcome to my 1000th post! Hooray!

Today I have quite a few nail polishes to share with you! I don't blog enough about nail polishes, but this collection is special because it is inspired  by Doctor Who! Where are the rest of you Whovians?! And not just that, but I have been dying to get some more polishes from Pahlish (I have two other polishes from them that are stunning!) so I bit the bullet and purchased the 6 polish All of Space and Time Collection. If you want to see swatches and a review, keep on reading :) And a little warning: my nail swatches aren't the best so please bear with me!

Mad Man With a Box
Gotta love the name of this polish! Inspired by The Doctor and the TARDIS, this polish is a dark navy base with an explosion of blue and yellow glass-flake shimmer. Two coats gives a perfect opacity; however, it also really needed about two coats of a good top coat because it was the only one of the polishes that had a slightly rough texture.

Lullaby Without End
This stunning polish was inspired by the Queen of Years and the Long Song (aka the lullaby without end). This polish is a vivid red jelly base with pink shimmer, round and squared blue glitter, and orange hex glitter. This is the type of complex polish that I love Pahlish for! Two coats is more than enough to get a good opacity and one layer of my top coats gives it a great shiny look. Definitely my favorite polish of the collection!

Forest of the Dead
This polish sort of gets to me because of the episode that it is named after. It is inspired by the Vashta Nerada (the flesh eating shadows) and the episodes of the Library. If you watch DW, you know why the ending of this episode is sad! This polish is a dark forest green base with loads of green and copper shimmer. It is really a stunning color. Like the other polishes, two coats was enough to get  full opacity on the nails.

Bad Wolf
Rose Tyler has definitely been my favorite companion of The Doctor. Which is why I am so glad that there is a polish here that is inspired by her state as the Bad Wolf. Bad Wolf is a lady-like taupe with beautiful reddish pink shimmer. Again, I used two coats in my swatches.

The Ghost Shift
Holy crap, do you see this holographic goodness?! The Ghost Shift is inspired by the armor of the Cybermen (a race of cybernetically augmented humanoids). It is not just a simple silver holo, it has more depth into it and hopefully you can catch some of that depth in my photo (although it looks so much better in person!). I used 3 coats of this one because 2 coats was still a bit sheer.

So Not Married!
Inspired by Donna Noble, one of The Doctor's companions, and of her firm resolve to not be romantically associated with The Doctor. It is a deep black jelly base with lots of burgundy and gold shimmer.

I am really, really blown away by this collection and I did not expect to love it as much as I do. Not only are the colors absolutely stunning, the inspirations were also chosen and applied so well. The formulas are fantastic; I didn't have any major problems with any of the polishes. The collection of 6 polishes is $48, which is basically the price that indie polishes usually go for.  I know there will be a part 2 of this collection coming up in February, and I will definitely look forward to it!

  5. The Ghost Shift and Forest of the Dead are son pretty! We dont't get many new nail polishes here, never mind indie ones, so it's always fun to see new nail polish reviews and swatches. :D

Aww really? That sucks! I know USPS is really weird about shipping polishes too but they still allow it.
