Swatches: Rock & Republic Eye Shadows

Well, hello there! I am super excited to show you swatches of the Rock&Republic products I purchased during the Haute Look event. I reeeeally wanted some of their blushes, but they were sold out :( Oh well, next time.

This is the box each eye shadow comes in. Pretty fancy, eh?
These are the actual eye shadows, very fancy looking and sturdy.
Here are the five colors.

[Sorry, you cannot really see Alloy, it was cut off a little]

Tempting: This is a very greyed purple color, but it has a very subtle burgundy touch. You can't really tell, but it is there. The camera made it look slightly more grey than it really is. It also has a very subtle, yet beautiful shimmer.
Scorch: a coppery orange shade. The picture is accurate in color. This also has a subtle shimmer.
Snakeskin: An olive green/brown with subtle shimmer. The pictures of the shadow in the pan are accurate, but the swatch looks more brown than it really it. It has more olive tones than brown, and its a very complex and lovely color. I do not own anything else that looks like this.
Vintage: A matte, medium toned brown that has a complex depth to it. It looks like a typical matte brown, but has a complexity to it that the camera does not capture very well. This is great for contouring, transitioning, or anything else you want to use it for.
Alloy: A light golden amber with a great sheen. In the pan, it looks much more coppery, but when you apply it, it is more gold. It reminds me a lot of MAC's 'Melon' pigment. Except, this is much smoother, and easier to apply. The pictures do not do this any justice. It is gorgeous!

Texture:There are all extremely smooth and pigmented. 'Snakeskin' was the sheerest, but it was not too sheer. The formula is great, and there is not much fallout.

Price and Availability: Haute Look has many R&R sales, and for a really cheap price. I got these at $8 each. But, on the actual Rock & Republic site, there isn't many colors or products to choose from, and these are expensive at retail price. These are $28 each if you pay retail.

I really love these so far, but honestly, I would not pay $28 for each. If I buy more R&R, it will be on Haute Look for sure.

Makeup look using 'Scorch' and 'Alloy' Here !
