Review: Wet n Wild Ultimate Brow Kit

Greetings from the Dark Side!

Not long ago, I showed a brow gel by Per-Fekt and I told you guys that I was looking for a cheaper alternative for it. I was conflicted because I really liked the brow gel but it is a really pricey product. Then I tried out this Wet n Wild brow kit. As you know, I love Wet n Wild products because they are inexpensive high quality products. I was excited to try this out so if you want to see my thoughts on this, keep reading :)

                                                                         Product Information

This Ultimate Brow Kit costs $3.99. It comes with a small brush, small tweezers, a brow wax, and two brow powders. There are two brow colors, a lighter and a darker shade.

                                                                            Product in Action!

I started out by using the tweezers to pluck some stray hairs. Honestly the tweezers are not that great. But I wasn't expecting them to be.

After plucking, you can use the brush (or any other brush) to apply the brow powder in gentle strokes. After using the brow powder, use the brow wax to smooth your hairs down and to seal the brow powder.

                                                                                 Review

Let's start by talking about the packaging. It is quite cheap looking, but it is small and compact. It is convenient to throw in your makeup bag; it will be a easy way to carry all your brow products. When you open it, you get all the products you need to do your eyebrows. The brush and the tweezers are not great, but they would come in handy if you are traveling and you forget your good tweezers and brow brush. Whether you get some use out of the brush and tweezers will really be up to you. I know that I would prefer to use the ones I already own, but I know that I will keep the ones that come with the kit in case I need them in an emergency.

The brow powders are actually quite fantastic. I was really surprised to see that they were better than I expected. If you have dark hair like me, then the #963 Ash Brown kit is perfect. The lighter shade is good for a natural look, while the darker color is great to create really defined eyebrows. The closest thing that I can compare the powders to is the Urban Decay brow kit; they are really comparable (I owned the UD one in the past, so I know by experience).

Lastly, is the brow wax. This was the product I was looking forward to the most because I don't really need to fill in my eyebrows but I need something to smooth out my brow hairs. The wax is really lightweight and it does not make my eyebrows stiff or flaky. It has a medium hold, it does help to keep my hairs in place and it also helps to seal in the brow powders.

Would I recommend this? Yes! If you want to buy a brow product but you don't want to spend a lot of money, this will be the perfect product for you. You definitely get your money's worth, and then some. I know that this will become a part of my makeup collection permanently!

    1. I know that there is at least one other color selection, but I am not 100% sure if there is one that is redder.
