Early Birthday Haul!

Hello everyone!

As I mention in my Facebook, I have been lacking on my posting for the past days because I was really sick. I thought I felt better the other day, but then I went back to feeling absolutely freaking terrible. But today I feel better for sure :D I even did a bit of hauling! My birthday is coming up,  it's on October 25th. My super sweet supervisor/friend gifted me an early birthday gift: a Sephora gift card and some Revlon nail stickers! She knows me too well xD So after feeling like crap for the past week, I decided I needed a bit of retail therapy. Here is what I purchased~

1. Kat Von D Rehab Priming Elixir ($30)
I suppose I should start with the reason I was in Sephora in the first place. I was almost out of my Kat Von D primer and I needed a new one! I have been using this stuff on and off for the past 2-3 months, not really sure if I liked it or not. I decided this month that I absolutely love this primer for my combo-dry skin. This primer is especially amazing with the Kat Von D Lock It foundation! It's not cheap, but it makes my skin feel amazing and it makes the Lock It foundation look so much better! It was out of stock for the longest time, so I wanted to make sure that I had at least a new bottle stocked.

2. Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette ($58)
This is the second reason I went to Sephora today. I have been eying this palette online because I have wanted to try the Ambient Lighting Powders for soooo long. But they are really expensive; one compact is $45! Since I had a gift card, it seemed like the perfect time to splurge on this item. This palette is expensive too, but you get to try out 3 different shades for a couple bucks more. It also comes with a deluxe sample of their face primer~
I am not sure if I will keep this yet, but I'm excited to give it a try. And I mean, look at that chic packaging! Damn you Hourglass, tempting me with your shiny compacts!

3. Revlon Marchesa Limited Edition 3D Nail Appliqués
Let me start by saying that I am the type of girl who loves nail polishes, but absolutely hates nail stickers. I have never had good luck with nail stickers so I tend to avoid them. But when my supervisor gifted me these nail stickers from Revlon, I went bananas! Holy crap, these are beautiful! I did not know Revlon was collaborating with Marchesa to create these nail stickers that resemble Marchesa dresses. I usually hate nail stickers, but these are so beautiful I have to make an exception. I have not seen these in store, but I must see the other patterns! Some of the patterns are totally re-creatable if you are good at nail art too :D

4. Shiro Cosmetics Halloween 2013
Shiro Cosmetics is one of my favorite indie brands and I am always excited to see new collections. Last year, I was wowed by the Halloween collection inspired by The Nightmare Before Christmas. This year, the same collection was re-released and three new colors were added to the collection. I decided to spoil myself with an early birthday gift from myself so I bought all three new shades: two eyeshadows and one lip gloss. I literally just got this in my mail box so I will be swatching these shortly!

So that's about it for my early b-day haul! Let me know if you have tried any of these products or if you have been lusting over any of these!

  4. Girl you spoiled yourself, Im afraid of primers if am honest cause my experience with one was a itchy skin. I dont use foundation for the same rason so I wont be picking a primer easily.
But that Hourglass look like a holy grail for me the shades are just me
and yeah corpsbride make up package looks amazing I mean I would get it only becaouse of the cute package. would love to see the shades too. Hope the lipgloss is a wine or plum shade

    1. I really did!
I usually am very afraid of primers too; I haven't had good experiences with them. But this one is really nice, it is much more like a light moisturizer than a primer.

    1. I bet it is :/ It sucks that stuff is so overpriced in AU. I feel like $60 is already so much but it's probably like twice as much over there!
