2013 Favorites: Cheek Products

Greetings from the Dark Side!
I am  little ashamed to admit that I have tons of blushes, but I don't use blush as much as I used to. This year I usually used the same blushes and I only rotated the ones I used because of the change in seasons. I picked 6 cheek products that I used the most (not including the ones I mentioned in my Indie Favorites post), so keep reading if you want to know what my favorite cheek products were for 2013!

1. Maybelline 'Coral Burst 'Blush
I love orange makeup, so it is no surprise that I have at least one orange shade in here. This LE Maybelline blush is by far one of the prettiest orange blushes I have seen. It is bright, easily blendable, has a buildable pigmentation, and it has a very subtle glowing sheen. It is not shimmery or sparkly, but it still has this glowing quality to it.

2. Maybelline 'Golden Fuse' Blush
From the same collection as 'Coral Burst', 'Golden Fuse' is also a baked LE blush. This one is a neutral peachy gold color with golden shimmer. This one definitely has the shimmer but it is really fine and beautiful. If you like matte blushes, you would not like this! But I love that this acts as both a blush and a highlighter since the shimmer is very reflective.

3. Hard Candy 'Living Doll' Blush
I've had this blush for a long time and it was gathering dust in my collection. But in 2013, I fell in love with this blush all over again. It is the perfect dolly pink blush. It has a tiny bit of shimmer and it makes the cheeks look glowing. It is the best blush for you who want the innocent, young-looking, porcelain skin.

4. Illamasqua 'Morale' Shimmer Blush
This has a similar glowing effect that 'Living Doll' has, but it is a slighter deeper purple-toned pink color. When I want to have a deeper color on my cheeks I go with this. And I can skip the highlighter because this acts as a blush and highlighter since it is shimmery.  I own many blushes from Illamasqua, but this one is still my favorite!

5. Wet n Wild Holiday Shimmer Palette
This handy palette was a new product during the holidays, so it is a recent purchase. But I have loved this so much! It reminds me of the Wet n Wild Mega Glow powders (which I own and love) and of products like the Bobby Brown Shimmery Bricks. This gives you a highlighter, blush, and bronzer all in one. You can use the colors separately or mix them all together! The palette also comes with a brush, both for $8 which is a really good deal.

6. MAC 'Sculpt' Sculpting Powder
Finally, a rather bothering product: a contouring powder. I don't contour all the time but if I do I like colors like this one. I either use this MAC powder or Illasmaqua 'Hallow' Cream Pigment. But, the MAC one wins as my favorite because it is so much easier/quicker to use a powder than a cream. For all you pale ladies, if you are looking for a contouring powder that is not orange and that is not too ashy, try out 'Sculpt'~
