First Impression: Urban Decay Naked3 Palette

Greetings from the Dark Side :)

I am so excited to finally try out one of Urban Decay's Naked palettes! Yup, this is my very first Naked palette. Crazy, huh? I decided to go for the Naked3 because I think the pinky gold tones will compliment my skin  more. I also like that the darker colors are purple toned ♥ These shades are so up my alley! I only swatched and tried out the shadows today so I wanted to share my First Impression with all my lovely readers :D

The new addition to the Naked series, the Naked3 Palette, is a sturdy rose-gold palette. The cover has a wavy pattern and has gold writing on it. The palette opens almost like a pencil box (it opens all the way back) and there is a really great mirror on the inside. The palette has 12 eyeshadows and one double-sided brush. The eyeshadows are pink, purple, and gold toned which is a fantastic alternative to most neutral eyeshadows.

It has been a looooong time since I purchased any Urban Decay eyeshadows (I think it was since the UD 15th Anniversary palette) and it is so great to try some new shades. I love that all the shades in this palette are new and that there are no repeat colors from other palettes. The eyeshadows are super silky, smooth, and pigmented. So far I am in really in love with this palette. The colors are fantastic, the packaging is stunning, and the brush is actually really useful. The only thing that worries me about this palette is the shade 'Dust'; it is a gorgeous shade but it is quite glittery so it has glitter fallout. I am sure I will manage this eyeshadow if I use my Fyrinnae Pixie Epoxy, but I know many people dislike the glittery UD eyeshadows.

I have never tried the Naked or Naked2 palettes so I can't compare them with the Naked3, but I will say that so far I do not regret spending $52 on this. I am really looking forward to creating looks with these eyeshadows!

  1. I have this and have been playing around with it for a few days. I don't know what my thoughts are on it completely yet, but I do know I like it more than NAKED, but I'm not sure if I like it more than NAKED2.

  3. Good that they did not have repeating colors from the other palettes! It's a shame that you can'r compare all three, but most of the people are so used to know the tones of the other that only looking at the 3 apart we can tell the difference!
