Maybelline Fall 2012 Scene on the Runway Collection

Greetings from the Dark Side! :)
Finally, the Maybelline Fall 2012 collection! I have been stalking my local drugstores for this really anticipated collection, and I finally found it yesterday! Woohoo! Because this is highly anticipated and everything is limited edition, I want to quickly show you the products I purchased along with some swatches so if you like something, you can run out and get it before it's gone.

  Nail Polish
I only purchased one nail polish since most of the other shades were either not my style or I already had something similar. I can't say how this polish, since I have not used it yet.

'Downtown Brown'

Color Tattoos

I purchased all four of the new Color Tattoos because I really love these eyeshadows. They are great on their own and as bases, and they don't crease. Barely Beige and Gold Shimmer had the best pigmentation and texture. Rich Mahogany was the worst but it is still a really great, buildable shade. If I could only pick one, I would go for Gold Shimmer. I love golds and this one is really pigmented and has a nice antique-looking tone.

Color Tattoo Swatches

Eyeshadow Quads

I am really obsessed with these Maybelline quads. They all have amazing pigmentation. I swatched everything on my bare skin and I only swatched them once. They are fantastic eyeshadows! They are not cheap, but they could be worse. Much better than MAC eyeshadows in quality and price, in my opinion. My favorite two are Olive Martini and Cozy Cashmere. Sea Sprite is really nice, but I could have skipped on it. If I could only pick one, I surprisingly would pick Cozy Cashmere because the shades are more unique to my collection. But Olive Martini is more my style...ARG! It is hard to pick. That is why I picked up three quads!

Hope this is helpful!
If you miss out on this collection, stay tuned.
I will be giving away two items from this collection in the weeks to come.

  1. Oooh some of these things look sooo cool! I really like the lightest shade of cream eyeshadow, as well as the nail polish. I think I'll try to hunt for them tomorrow!:)

  2. Every time I see the Color Tattoo pics or swatches I die a little inside, because I don't think it will ever arrive here in Malaysia. >_< Anyway, the Sea Sprite quad is really pretty, and the Barely Beige Color Tattoo would be my choice because it can be used as both highlighter and base :D

  3. I bought the Maybelline polish in purple and I absolutely, 100% hated it. I dried almost as soon as I removed the brush from the bottle & left a goopy, streaky coat on my nails. Even after two coats I didn't like it. But hopefully you have a better experience than I did.
