Tutorial: Prep for Spring's Busy Event Season

Thanks to Walgreens for underwriting this post. I was paid as a member of the Clever Girls Collective, but the content is all mine. Visit http://www.discoverbeautywithin.com/.

Hello Lovelies!

Today I have a spring-time look using all drugstore products as a part of a sponsored post for Walgreens. These are all products that are easily available in most drugstores and they are affordable too.
This look embodies not only a slight spring time feel to it, but it also reflects the Dark Side of me. You should all know by know that I love dark colors and bold looks, especially when it comes to eye looks. This has both a spring time touch, neutral colors, and a pop of color! This shows my spring time routine as far as eye looks are concerned because I have been loving both gold eyeshadow and applying a pop of bright color on the lower lash line!
I hope you enjoy it :)

Products Used

-Wet n Wild 'Comfort Zone' and 'Blue Had Me at Hello' palettes
-Maybelline Color Tattoo 'Bold Gold' and 'Tenacious Teal'
-L'oreal Lineur Intense liquid liner
-Wet n Wild white pencil eyeliner
-Maybelline Illegal Length mascara
-Revlon Lash glue
-Revlon 'Natural Defining' False Lashes (not shown)

Use these for reference in the tutorial:
Tutorial

1. Start off this look by priming you lids with a base or primer. I am using a thin layer of Maybelline's Color Tattoo eyeshadow in 'Bold Gold' as a color base and primer.

2. Using a flat brush, I am using color #1 from the Comfort Zone palette, a bronze-tan, and I gently brushed it on the inner half of the lid.

3. Then, using my ELF Contour Brush, I applied color #2, the brown/red/blue multi-chrome, and I am going to place it on the outer V and the crease.

4.To bring in more dimension and a pop of spring color to the lid, I tapped a small amount of color #3, a pale spring green, to the center of the lid. You can make this as sheer or opaque as you want. I went with a sheerer application to blend the inner color to the outer color.

5. Moving onto the lower lash line, I applied the Maybelline Color Tattoo in 'Tenacious Teal' on the lower lash line. This will add a pop of a turquoise blue that will contrast with but also tie in with the colors on the lid. You can leave the lower lash line as such, or top it off with powder eyeshadow as I will show in the next step.

6. Moving onto the 'Blue Had Me at Hello' palette, I am using color #4, a pale robin egg blue, and placing it in the inner corner. Then, I used color #5, a bright turquoise, and applied it to the rest of the lower lash line.

7. Now that we are done with the eyeshadow, let's move on to liner and mascara. I used the Wet and Wild white pencil liner on my waterline to brighten up the look. I then applied my L'oreal liquid liner on the lash line. For mascara, I am using my Maybelline Illegal Length mascara.

8. But of course, I wanted to really complete this look by adding some falsies. I am using the Revlon Natural Defining lashes with the Revlon lash glue.

And the look is complete ♥ You are ready to step into spring time looking badass, yet still have a nice contrast of neutrals and bright colors.
